Great Little Water Boiler
I have recently begun weeding out all the plastic in my dishes and foodware. I had a hot shot that someone gave me and it worked fine but the pitcher part of it was plastic so I was looking for stainless steel and/or glass that would boil water for tea and jello and the like. This baby is perfect! Not only does it boil the water ultra-fast, it lets you know when the water is ready. There is an audible click when it shuts off and there is a light that shines when it isn’t ready yet that shuts off when it is ready. I also love that the pitcher removes from the base for cord-free pouring. The only drawback is what if I want to boil the water for longer than just the boiling point? I would also like it to keep the water hot once it is hot. Instead, it just shuts off. But then, I guess I have a stovetop and saucepan for that. I also like the large capacity. It not only works well, it’s a thing of beauty, to boot!

Great for the price
I do really like this kettle and the price is good. Since I use this at work and it’s a long walk from the sink to my office, the detachable pot is really nice (you don’t have to wrangle a cord). It’s a great size and I like the large water window.The color was a lot different than I was expecting though – The photo looks like a perlescent, light cream color, but it’s much more a flat, dark vanilla. I’m also not completely happy with the handle design (a common one for many kettles, not specifically this one) – When the kettle is full of water and you need to carry it a distance back from the sink, my arm is at the very worst angle to hold the weight and I generally have to carry it with both hands. It would be much better if the handle could wrap over the top somehow. I saw a few options like that when I was shopping, but the unique color and cheap price of this one won me over.

Great for the 2+ years while it worked
Bought it just before the beginning of 2014 and in February of ’16 it just stopped working one morning. Actually, I was surprised that it died, I was expecting (hoping 🙂 that it would be fuctional for more than a decade, so I’m disappointed with what I consider its short lifespan. I did not contact the distributor or the manufacturer, I just ordered a new kettle (from a dfferent manufacturer).The Ovente KS96BG is easy to pour from and nicely marked at 1/2, 1 & 1-1/2 liters. Great for making a mug (~1 pint) of tea as well as for starting water for making ramen and steaming veg on the stove. The compact size let it live on the counter without taking up an inordinate amount of space.During the two+ years while it was working, it worked wonderfully well. It heated up quickly and audibly enough (not loud, but loud enough. This “feature” let me continue working elsewhere and know when to come back to use the water. The auto shutoff worked reliably and while heating has an modern blue glow, as illustrated.

Compact and efficient makes a wonderful kettle to have around. I used to hate using kettle to boil water. In fact often enough I would use the microwave for small cup of tea. I never thought of getting an elctric kettle will be such joy to have around. It is so convenient and fast. I wouldn’t dare to dream about living without nowadays. It cuts down the boiling time, nice auto off button, 360º turns, and the price is very affordable…Pros: Great for warming baby milk, making oatmeals, noodles, hot tea, coffee, hot chocolate, warm milk, and anything calls for hot water. It’s nice to be able to minimize the microwave radiation when possible.Cons: it did had some plasticy smell for the first few brews, but it did went away. Thank god :)Only worry is how long this will last me.Thank you for the great product!

Electric Tea Kettle
This is best to boil water for tea or anything that you add boiling water. It’s difficult to wash out, rinse or clean so sticking with boil water is best. Not sure if I can blame the product or my mistake to get a 1.7 Liter (about 1.6 qts), but sure was disappointed that it will not accept amount of water for a 4-cup coffeepot amount. I didn’t expect that. The plate it sits on works fine and is light as feather with a heavy heavy short cord and heavy 3-prong plug connected with it. The cord is actually heavier and thicker than the cord of my microwave oven. I think this could be improved. The pot heavier than expected, very sturdy, and very dependable including the automatic shutoff which is not electricised because when detached from any electric, the clicks to close off can be heard. I like the pot but would wonder if anything smaller might be maybe what I was looking for. Thank you. This product was a very good experience.

I like the blue light when turned on. The color is a dark cream like shown in picture. It’s a little darker than color scheme but so far product works well.
