We cooked hushpuppies and cookies as well as shrimp scampi. My wife and I went to this famous seafood restaurant and ordered the oyster platter. Onced we received our food, I realized I could make the same thing at home. After using this a number of times there are a few things that are great and other things that are frustrating.Overall this is well made and really helps keep oysters from spilling over. Itâs a great size and works well for charbroiling.So what the bad part? The casting texture is so rough itâs almost impossible to clean. This is much more rough than any other cast iron I have used

This pan is great for keeping oysters from spilling while cooking. Itâs also great for entertaining or transport cooked oysters. The casting is kind of low quality; it is very porous with uneven smoothness but for the price I guess itâs fair – youâre getting what you paid for. It is sturdy and easy to use but because of the lower quality casting it is difficult to clean.

Heavy duty cast pan, used several times on grill and works great! Cleaned it and oiled it and it works for what I intended. Will most likely get another for using both at same time for 24 grilled oysters or clams

Do you need this to BBQ oysters? Of course not….but the coolness factor can’t be beat! It works great and keeps your sauce from messing up your BBQ. No more balancing acts and spilled liquor. Great addition to the green egg gear. Easy clean up. Don’t forget to season it and wrap the bottom in foil before you put it on the grill to make clean up a snap.
