Huge and heavy
I wanted to buy some flatware that would match or look similar to the Oneida flatware I have that’s about 15 years old. Although the Madison Ave is similar (I don’t know the name of the old pattern I have) the flatware is ridiculously large..the Madison Ave. teaspoon is almost the size of the tablespoon I have and the tablespoon is like a serving spoon! The flatware is maybe three times as heavy as the original Oneida flatware we own. What happened to standardization? This set is for big people..basketball players…not a petite 5 foot lady! Sigh., I’ll keep it, maybe pass it on to my larger relatives.

I’m impressed with the quality of this flatwareâsolid, beautiful finish, durable, and more. Really holds up to extensive wear and multiple dishwashing. Stacks well in the drawer. Disappointed
Pretty disappointing quality for Oneida. I have always bought their flatware for the quality, but this doesnât live up to other sets I have purchased. Itâs pretty light and flimsy. If I bought this for my home I would be returning it. This is fine if you are in a transitional situation (college student first apartment, guest space, short term rental unit, etc.), but not a set for the long term in a home.

I like how I could feel the quality of the spoons. They are a little bit larger than my other teaspoons, yet smalerl than my other tablespoons I have for use. So I view them as my tweener spoon. I bought more teaspoons for between, my husband and me, we use a lot of teaspoons between dishwasher loads.

Keep a set or two on hand for cookouts!
Not a super great quality (kinda lightweight) but that should be expected with this price tag. These will totally work for large cookouts â I hate using plastic bc youâll always have one person who manages to snap a plastic fork. Donât put your guests through that. Buy basic cutlery sets like this instead of plastic & theyâll last forever. Or at least outlive any desire you have to host large parties.
