Moving into a new apartment was an excuse to retire the ancient, cheap, and mismatched plate collection and cutlery set that my parents handed down to me when I first moved out – back in the Clinton years. I first tried another brand here on Amazon. They simply weren’t acceptable. Not naming it here, but feel free to dig for my review on it for details if you want.So…I spent a few extra bucks, while accepting a few extra pieces in the total count, and tried this. Could not be more pleased. This one is the perfect intersection (for me, anyway) of price point and quality. The pieces are obviously going to last for a few decades, but aren’t ridiculously expensive. To fill the gaps, I picked up the Oneida steak knife set, and a bread knife while I was at it. Same opinion of them. Even better, while those have a “hand wash only” note because of their more complicated assembly, I completely forgot about it until after using them a dozen times and just tossing them in the dishwasher. Still in perfect condition. There’s no guarantees, obviously – detergent brands will have an effect, and the water in this corner of Georgia is just about the softest and clearest on the planet – but it’s worth mentioning.You can’t go wrong here.

Oneida 2865020B Flight – Not what they used to be
See attached pictures. I purchase a flight set of 8, 30 years ago and they have performed well. A few have gone missing, so we wanted to replace the missing ones. The price for the 4 piece set was good compared to buying singles (quantity of 4). (Disappointed you can’t buy just one set). We compared the new with the old. Although they are nicely polished and look great, the Spoons that used to be strong enough to eat frozen ice cream are now thinner and will bend. The salad forks are bent differently and don’t sit together well with the old.I didn’t notice issues with the other pieces.

We were having a large group over at the last minute for Thanksgiving, so had to order this quickly, and I was very impressed that the quality of the material. It also looks stylish and had a good feel to the handles. It isnât heavyweight, but it wasnât cheap and lightweight either Did well in the dishwasher

Still using after 26+ years of marriage!
Iâm so excited! I found them!26 years ago we ended up with a set of this silverware for a wedding gift. Those years and 5 moves plus 4 kids later (who Iâm sure took out silverware outside and dug in the dirt) we have lost a few pieces along the way. 5 years ago I added another set that I didnât like and totally didnât match. I am super picky when it comes to the balance of eating with good silverware. It needs to not be awkward when eating with a spoon or fork and it certainly cannot fall off of your plate or out of your bowl of cereal because the end is too heavy. Super pet peeve of mine! So you can imagine my surprise and excitement when I found the same silverware on Amazon! They have refined them in the last 26 years. They are lighter and thinner and the balance is even more amazing! Woohoo! I will add a couple of pictures to show you the difference between the ages. They have a limited warranty which is awesome too. You canât go wrong getting this wonderful set of silverware. Pretty sure itâs the glue that has held our marriage together and this new addition to our first set ensures us many more years! Enjoy eating with a fantastically balanced spoon or fork! You wonât regret your purchase!

Nice for the price
I have a beautiful set of Oneida flatware from 25 years ago and unfortunately itâs a discontinued pattern and somehow I lost 3 dinner forks recently.When I saw how much it would cost to replace them, I decided to think outside of the box and just order a set with a similar pattern.I donât entertain much so it was a more practical choice.They are nice looking but there is quite a discrepancy between the weight of the dinner knives and the rest of the flatware which I find odd.Iâll be curious to see how they hold up but for the price, they were worth the gamble.

This brand is known for quality and this product proves they are still delivering on that. The flatware is beautiful, a good weight, nice shine, has a good “mouth feel” (if that makes sense), and is well made. It’s worth the extra money because it’s going to last. Dishwasher safe. It’s durable enough for everyday use and nice enough for company. My only regret is that I didn’t buy the bigger set. I recommend this product.

Of the 20 pieces, one was tarnished. It looks scraped/rusted. Wiping and washing didn’t help. The vendor was contacted a couple days ago and haven’t responded yet. Stay tuned …
