Great quality mixing bowl!
This is a beautiful, great-quality mixing bowl. I have used it daily for several months for meal prep and it looks like new. The lid is perfect for storing food.

It’s a mixing bowl NOT storage bowl and it is very nice!
This is a very good quality, very large mixing bowl. Sturdy and thick without being too heavy.The lid is not a snap-on tight, leak-proof like Tupperware. If there’s stuff in it and you turn it upside down the lid *will* fall off. BUT this is NOT supposed to be a storage bowl or a to-go container. This is a MIXING bowl. It’s meant to let things sit in it for a short period of time: dough to rise, cookie dough to chill overnight, meat to marinate, etc. The lid is meant to keep air out and contaminants off the bowl’s contents. The threads around the lid’s edge ensures that it does that well.I’d buy it again.

Sturdy mixing bowl
When I ordered this mixing bowl I thought I was crazy. The price could get me a set of 7 stainless steel mixing bowls. Abit much for something i was planning to use for bread proofing. But, the quality is unmatched!!!This is not some flimsy mixing bowl that will develop dings on the inside from using metal tools. Not sure if it will scratch as I have not used it. But right or of the box, I could tell that this bowl was solid, well-built, and a stunner to look at. The lid is a tight fit, so no worries about it not working after a few lid removals. The bowl is deeper than it is wider which might be harder to work with, but at least it will reduce the amount of spatter.A workhorse in the kitchen, it is my new favorite mixing bowl. The only downgrade is the weight, but something this solid and of this quality is not expected to be light as a feather. Those types of bowls tend to look unsightly after a while and even distort in the shape. Not this bowl!!!A must have for anyone spending a lot of time in the kitchen.

Very big!
This bowl was the huge! It was exactly what I needed for my sourdough baking process! I needed a bowl I could fit multiple loafs of bread dough in at once and this was the perfect bowl! Would definitely recommend buying this for large servings!

Based on the mixed reviews for these, I wasn’t sure if this would be OK or not. It is OK. While it certainly isn’t commercial quality heavy metal, it isn’t unreasonably thin metal either. As others have said, calling the plastic cover “airtight” is a bit of a stretch. It has ribbed edges to grip the sides of the bowl for a good fit, but it’s made too small, so there’s about 1/16″ side-to-side play in the cover when it’s on the bowl. So the cover might keep bugs or flies out, and might slow down the contents drying out, it sure isn’t any sort of a snug fit.Also, the bowl is made in China. Now, it’s a pretty sad state of affairs when “made in China” is a positive feature to look for, but that’s what we’ve all come to. Most bowls like this on Amazon are made in INDIA, and if you’ve ever bought anything made in India, you know that Indian-made makes Chinese-made look like very high quality by comparison. When we chose which bowl to buy, we excluded everything Indian, and so we chose this bowl because the description said “Made in China”. If we could find any made in USA, we’d buy them instead.For the price and quality of the bowl, I’d say it’s a good value.

Wanted to like these but they rusted quickly
I really wanted to like these bowls. They were a great price and a good weight for a nice and sturdy mixing bowl. The lids fit nicely as well. However, the first time I stored food in one of the bowls overnight it formed rust spots that would not come off. I cleaned the next bowl (I ordered three sizes) right away and left it to dry in the dish drainer. It too formed rust spots. I have a cheap stainless steel bowl from a big box store that has never formed rust spots in three years so this poor quality is unacceptable.

These are incredibly well made stainless steel bowls. I bought two 8-qt bowls and I find myself using them daily. Strong, easy to clean, and I like the flat bottom feature. However, the lids are not as good quality as the bowls. I have somehow broken both of them. I need replacements but can’t find them in the store.Can I re-order just the lids?
