These are definitely the right size for making custard pies
Many pie plates have steeper sides and are deeper, which makes them unfit for baking custard pies, such as pumpkin. With the shallower plate and sides that are not so steep, the pie bakes much more evenly and the crust can get more well done. There may be some manufacturing issues since I can see coloration differences around the edges, which does not make sense since these are supposed to be all aluminum. I will wait to see whether that is a coating that comes loose.

The pans are well made and sturdy. I read that pie crusts cook better in metal pans than in ceramic or glass, so I bought these for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Get the job done
The pans came scuffed up with fingerprints on them. It’s not a big deal because I knew what I was getting for the price. They’re shiny and they don’t blow up my oven when I cook on them, and that’s the best I can ask for. They’ve replaced some very old heirloom pie pans with completely misshapen bottoms that would rock all over the stove, so these have made my time spent in the kitchen immensely less annoying. Would definitely recommend to someone who needs cheap stuff that just works.

These pie plates were covered with some sort of sticky goo. All over not just from the label. I tried numerous cleaning products to remove it but too sticky to come off. I used a nylon sponge to try and remove it, and it got all scratched up so I couldn’t send them back. Or i would have returned them

First time I ever bought pi pans. I checked around and these seems a good price for 3. I only used thm once s far but they seem to be as much as i need. I think they would be good enough for anyone who just wants simple easy clean pans.
