I bought this to shred cabbage and onions. It works amazing and is so very easy to use. I was skeptical, but its built well and is super sharp. Best peeler I have ever purchased.

Where’s this been all my life
Everybody is always trying to sell you a better knife or gadget to shred your cabbage. Enough so that you’ll eventually give up and just chop with a chef’s knife on your best cutting board every time you need a bit of shredded cabbage. It’s not the worst, but that’s life. UNTIL NOW. Just chop your cabbage in half then go to town with this tool. The cabbage strips are uniform, ribboned, wavy, and beautiful. Like you can shred your cabbage over your noodles like you would grate a block of cheese. Did I mention it’s fast? Why didn’t anyone think of this before. I’m amazed.

It is so easy to shred the cabbage. What used to take 10-15 minutes now takes 3-4! And it is nice and uniform shreds

Very sharp and easy to use!
I have used this to shred cabbage for coleslaw and slice onions for sandwiches or salad.Effortless! And the slices are so thin… it’s amazing!Rinses easily just be very careful of those blades…I discarded the cardboard that it was mounted on but I kept the clear plastic cover to store it in for safety. That is probably the intent but everything is in Japanese so I couldn’t read it.

Super shredder
It does exactly what itâs meant to do. Super shredded. So easy and fast. No equipment needed. Quick slaw or salad. Cost a lot but makes your daily salad preparation much easier

Fantastic! Taste like shredded cabbage from Japan
After visiting Japan, Iâve been looking far and wide to recreate the shredded cabbage Iâve eaten there. If youâve never been, the cabbage is sliced in a way where itâs so light and thin fluffy, when you eat it, there is no resistance, there is no crunchy bite. Itâs quite different from American Coleslaw, where itâs cut pretty thick and has a crunch. Thereâs definitely use cases for both.I was trying to recreate by watching videos of Chef cutting the cabbage thinly, but still either I canât cut it thin enough or itâs literally impossible, the cabbage still ended up crunchy. I was planning to pull the trigger on the rotating cabbage kun shaver for $160 to get the cabbage that I wanted. After seeing this product and looking up reviews on Amazon Japan website, I was willing to give it a try.Iâm super glad I did!! It is very easy to use, the blades are sharp, and it resulted in much much less waste than when I was chopping it. Iâll be buying it again when it goes on sale! Highly recommend anyone who is interested to give it a shot.Cut a bit of the side of cabbage then use the shredder. Afterwards rinse the cabbage in cold water, drain, then put Japanese sesame dressing and enjoy!

This is the super thin shredder you are looking for.
*Does not julienne* but thinly shreds cabbage like a DREAM! Unexpected benefit is that it perfectly slices two thin pieces of cheese at a time. Great for sandwiches or snacks. Would happily repurchase. 10/10.

Works great! But be careful.
I saw a Japanese influencer using this in one of her kitchen videos and was actually going to buy it on Amazon JP but was pleasantly surprised to find it on the US Amazon. I’ve purchased many cabbage peelers, and for the relatively low price, this one actually works! You can have a moist yet fluffy and delicious bowl of cabbage in no time. Just for ease of handling, I typically cut the cabbage head in half or sections first. You can shred a whole bunch in advance as well. I usually store it in a rubbermaid veggie container with a few paper towel pieces mixed in with the shreds to keep it from drying out too quickly. Oh, SUPER HUGE WARNING. This thing is dangerous if you are not careful. Not only do you need to be very mindful of the direction and force you’re using while shredding, but also be careful handling the item when washing it. It is also imperative that you have the blades facing inside your utensil drawer (the deeper the better).

Surprisingly works very well. I used this on various veggies for a kimchi noodles soup and they were sliced just right. I used this for beets and cabbage for saurkraut and it shaved off a good chunk of prep time. Very sharp, I had to keep the plastic cover as to not reach in the drawer and get accidentally sliced.

Fantastic easy cabbage peeler, perfect thin slices like a mandolin with none of the washing up, one piece so feels durable and easy cleaned.
