Disappointing
The can opener never opened the first can! It served to have stripped gears. Several futile attempts before packaging up the item and coloring the return claim. Extremely disappointed! Item shipped quickly. Easy to install. Ergonomic. Useless.

This can opener looks exactly like the Edlund that I have used for 20 years, but much less expensive. The only reason that I am not returning it is that the base was a pain to attach to my counter and it will work with the Edlund “Old Reliable” that I have ordered to replace it. I have no idea why it won’t open cans, but see from other reviewers that I am not alone. Spend the extra and get the real thing.

DO NOT waste your time
Had this product for less than two months in our concession operation, tried to ask for a replacement and amazon tells me no because I did not return within less than a month of receiving it. So then try to contact the actual company to get a replacement and they said no because it is amazons responsibility not theirs. So if you want to waste a $100 just for the product to not last even 6 months, then knock yourself out.
