Very helpful product!
This has helped me slice clean even lines in my sourdough bread. This bread has a tough, thick crust and I was struggling to cut especially while having to hold it steady in my hand. With this, I can slice my loaf on half, and then place cut side down in the guides and cut thin, even slices. I can also skip a slot or 2 and cut thicker slices. Just be sure you have a knife long enough to go beyond the sides.

Why did I wait so long?
I have a love-hate relationship with carbs. Recently the love side won and I dusted off my bread machine. After a few loaves, I ran across a video on a social-media-site-that-cannot-be-named-because-foreign-countries-are-watching of a woman using a similar slicer. I promptly opened my Amazon app (curse you, Amazon) and ordered this. It’s awesome and one of those, why didn’t I order this earlier? I sincerely expected it might be another useless gadget that gathered dust, but I love it. The only downside is that it’s not pretty. It’s very plastic-y. But it’s sturdy, adjustable, dishwasher safe, and gets the job done for a good price.

Cutting Plastic
This is the 1st bread slicer we ever bought. It works well on loaf shaped bread, but not so much on round loaves. It’s super easy to put together, and the tray underneath does keep the crumbs off the counter and contained, which is nice. The price is really reasonable as well. There are 3 things I don’t like about it though. The first being that my serrated knife or any knife really, cuts the plastic bottom, so you know you are getting plastic in the bread and in your body even though you don’t see it. We get that from so many products that we have no control over anyway, but we do have control over whether we use this or not. Based on the bottom of mine now after about 20 uses, I’m getting a different one now that doesn’t have a plastic bottom. The 2nd thing I don’t like is that you can’t adjust the slice size. It’s one size fits all. It’s not a bad size though, but I would like it better if it were adjustable. The 3rd us that it is too small for round loaves. I’m pretty sure that’s an issue for any slicer though. Not just this one.

I HAD BEEN USING AN OLDER TYPE OF BREAD SLICER FOR YEARS THAT I GOT FROM AMAZON, BUT WHEN I SAW THIS ONE AND WATCHED THE VIDEO, I JUST HAD TO GIVE IT A TRY. IT’S FANTASTIC! WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT IS THAT IT DOESN’T MOVE WHEN YOU ARE SLICING THE BREAD. IT’S COMPACT, HAS ITS OWN CRUMB TRAY, THE SLATS ARE ADJUSTABLE FOR ANY WIDTH OF LOAF, BAGELS, ETC. SO EASY TO USE AND I STORE ALL THE PARTS IN A LARGE PLASTIC BREAD BAG AND SLIDE IT BACK INTO THE BOX. IT TAKES UP SO LITTLE SPACE IN THE CABINET. I LOVE IT AND COULDN’T IMAGINE NOT HAVING IT NOW. IF I HAD TO MAKE ONE SUGGESTION TO THE MANUFACTURER, IT WOULD BE TO TAKE IT ONE STEP FURTHER ON THE WIDTH OF THE SLICES, AND PERHAPS INCLUDE TWO ADDITIONAL SIDES WITH SMALLER WIDTH SLICES. IT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR THOSE WATCHING HOW WIDE THEIR SLICES ARE. BUT OTHER THAT THAT, IT HAS TO BE 5 STARS!!!

Better than bamboo but too thick
Very sturdy, easy to cut bread while resting on the countertop… Doesn’t move around. But the skits are wide so there’s only thick slices, thicker than standard sliced bread. A 1.5 lb loaf slices into only 8 big slabs. Good price.

I changed this to a five star as the seller made everything good.just doesn’t work good on a two lb loaf and that’s what I make with my bread machine.but it is a good product.
