Beautiful!
This was on my wedding registry but I didn’t get it. A year later, I was still thinking about it, so I decided to treat myself. I’m so glad I did – it’s so pretty and unique! The piece is heavy and feels solid, and has beautiful curves. My husband uses it for chips and dip in his lap during football games, but I’m looking forward to having a party and using it for something a little fancier.

Really beautiful good portion size for chips & dip
This is a beautiful piece. I got smaller version the first time and immediately returned due to comically small dip bowl. This one is the perfect size for dip and chips or fruit or whatever. Mine came well packaged & scratch free. After I purchased this I noticed the note in the full description about proposition 65 for California residents. I’m bit concerned about it containing metals that are not California compliant. But the link does not explain it well.

Some visible scratches; word of caution before buying Nambé on Amazon
As sone other reviewers of Nambé have noted, Nambé is not quite the same as it used to be so it bears pointing out so that fellow buyers can make an informed decision.I am a fan of Nambé’s metal pieces. Mostly for the design but also because it was manufactured in the U.S. (in the area around Santa Fe, NM where the company started). During a recent trip to Santa Fe and a visit to two of their stores — one in Santa Fe and one on the Pojoaque Reservation — I learned from the store representatives that Nambé is no longer manufactured in the United States since around 2008 and this is confirmed. Nambé is now manufactured in India and China. There are some seconds and sales to be found in their company-owned stores — unfortunately they only have a few and they are all in the Southwest — and I was able to get one or two items at 50% off retail (not seconds, just discounted), but I have also bought on Amazon on many occasions for gift-giving purposes and can attest that almost all of the pieces I have bought have some visible scratches to one degree or another.Nambé is not inexpensive and for the premium price you pay and the metal alloy this is made of, you expect a flawless product at retail. The company-stores sell retail and, in a separate area of the store, they also sell seconds that have scratches. To be honest, I have seen scratches on items sold on Amazon that are similar to those sold as seconds by the Nambe company-owned stores, the difference being that if you are lucky — and can live with the minor flaws — you can buy at a dramatic discount from a Nambé store, whereas on Amazon you are paying RETAIL.In sum, for as much as I like the design, likely I have made my last Nambé purchase on Amazon. I still love Nambé and will enjoy the pieces I have for years to come but don’t see myself adding to the collection sight-unseen (i.e., bought over the internet). Due to the quality issues I have experienced with some of my Nambé purchases on Amazon and the retail price Amazon charges, I would only buy Nambé in the future if I can inspect the actual item in person – which was what I cheerfully was able to do at the Nambé store during a recent trip.If you don’t have a Nambé company-owned store near you (which I don’t), then you can still buy in person at most of the major department stores. Granted you have to pay the tax but at least you can see what you are buying and for items that aren’t commodities and which have something of a pricey price tag, I’m learning that paying the tax is a small price to pay in order to ensure quality and avoid headaches with returns.

Like all Nambe items
Like all Nambe items, this has great, graceful lines, as well as being totally functional. While expensive, I’m confident that it will last for generations.

Can cool it to keep dip nice and cold. Very stout and heavy so not likely to tip over.

El producto fue lo esperado, pero lo empaquetaron mal y llegó con el dip sumido. Favor de tener más cuidado al enviar cosas frágiles
