I had the same model until very recently, and it worked reliably for nearly 8 years. It was still boiling water perfectly when I decided to replace it, but the pop-up part of the lid was sticking occasionally and no longer opening and closing as well as it used to. We use a kettle at least 8 times per day (multi-person household, drinking a lot of coffee and tea), and if a kettle can last us for 8 years and still be working, then it’s a good kettle.Here I am, having just purchased the same kettle as before, so (not surprisingly), I’m happy with the new kettle too. Too many kettles have a small capacity. This one boils a good quantity of water, which means that if I’m cooking pasta, I can boil the water in the kettle first, then add it to the pan of pasta, without having to boil the kettle twice. It will also boil enough water for 4 large mugs of coffee.All electric kettles in the USA take a while to boil, but this is as quick as any I’ve tried. The blue color is cheerful and bright on cold winter mornings, and the big advantage of a kettle like this is that it has an auto-shut-off. Glass water kettle really good so far. Can warm up 2 cups of coffee or tea in alittle over a Minute! So far I’m loving the speed. Need to see how long it will last. Only a few days old. Oh, the blue lights make the kettle look pretty (can a man say pretty).

It’s qieter than my old one, I should say it’s a quiet kettle, it pours well boils quickly, lovely blue colour, it will show limescale obviously, within a few days, mine isn’t because I’m using bottled spring water in it.i did use tap water for a day or two and the kettle looked very murky and I did have to put limescale remover in it and clean the metal plate in the bottom. I live in an extremely hard water area so that is why. It’s a good kettle and it’s very sparkly and clear blue when it’s boiling, so I would say it’s probably better for people who live in soft water areas. (if you want it to stay clear) good price for a nice looking kettle. The lid when you press for opening it’s a press down and slightly back action as someone else has said. for it to pop open.

Broke my last glass kettle whilst cleaning it heavy handedly so saw this kettle with huge amount of great reviews so got it. Delivered quickly and well packaged. Rinsed it out and made a quick cup of tea, wow the cuppa was roasting hot and stayed hot in the cup for a good 10mins and more. Kettle is very quiet whilst boiling and quick to boil. This is miles better than my last glass kettle and far far better than that one cup brevel i have where it doesn’t do a full mug of tea, the water is never roasting and the tea is cold after a few minutes. Glad i got this kettle as i drink a few cups a day. Cheers.

I use now for like a month this product and I like it ,it’s beautiful ,not very quiet thought ,but doesn’t bother me that much . It’s says that is spending less electricity so that’s good I hope it does . It takes normal time to boil I think ,it’s not slow .

Worked well for a year and then wouldn’t turn on, took the kettle apart to realise there’s a hole so steam can seep out into the handle where the button is located so hard water calcifies all over the switch which stops the current. Apparently this is common for kettles but why are we just accepting this?
