Easy to use and sharp!
Excellent, versatile, sharp, durable, super light weight…I should have gotten one a long time ago. I do wish it came with some kind of storage bag/container.

Lots of Uses! Super Easy to Use
I already have a non electric chopper device. I have had for quite some time. I would say at least five years if not longer. It has worked and continues to work. My only concern is, I think it might be getting a little old and I definitely wanted to have something on hand before it broke. This is something I use several times a week. And it is a must have for making salsa. The items I use this for most, are chopping up onions and celery and garlic, which is used a lot in my day to day cooking. So what I do is, I sauté several skillets full of either just onions or onions and garlic or onions, garlic, and celery. I then freeze them in small containers, noting exactly what’s in there. That way when it comes time for dinner prep I always have this already done and I don’t have to take the time to sauté in a separate skillet. Such a time saver, especially with the very sharp blades. Only one chop is needed to cut through.I looked at several devices before settling on this one. So far my husband has mainly been the one to use it. We found it works great on celery and onions. We haven’t yet used it on potatoes or carrots although we will probably be doing that very soon. I would say the only downside is this, while they do provide a container to store the different blades, there are still multiple other pieces that are a part of this that do not fit. Just the feel of this and handling it tells me it’s going to last a long time because it is very durable. Definitely well-made.We solved that issue by using a black plastic utility container, as pictured, which accommodates all of it very easily. I like keeping everything in one place.Therefore, thought for the manufacturer, is to perhaps design something that would hold all the parts and components together.There were so many of these to look at and select from on Amazon. However, I really feel this was the best one; very easy to wash up and quickly clean. I’m very happy to have it and would definitely recommend it.

Seems Sturdy and Does the Job
It seems to be working well. You must first chop the veggie to fit which I don’t find bothersome. Then it’s fairly easy to slam the top down to shove the veggie thru the chopper. I thought it might break but it hasn’t. I like the small size for storing and also the variety of blades/choppers. I also like that it chops into a container. I have another mandolin that has no container and the veggies end up all over the place. With the rubber feet it stays in place and the blades are sharp. When they dull, can you get replacement blades or is this another thing headed for the landfill??? Sometimes it takes a minute to assemble the thing which I don’t like as I’m always in a rush to get dinner ready. But all in all, it works well.

Great Idea
I bought this for myself recently because I make a lot of salsa and other dishes that require a lot of chopping or slicing. I have used it a few times and I am not sure it really saves me time. I think my complaints would stand for all similar choppers. First, they warn that the blades are sharp. Heed this warning! Handling the blades for cleaning or changing out is dangerous. The slicing blades are thin and very paper thin. So fried green tomatoes and cucumbers will be thin. The dicing blades have a small cutting area so your veggies will need to be cut small to fit the approx. 3×3 blade surface. I tried carrots, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, and celery. You have to use some pressure to get the top to force the veggies through the cutter, but not so much as to break the plastic. Celery was very tough. It was easier when I cut the slices thinner. Having said that, this does not do away with the need to use a knife to cut up your veggies. Clean-up was a little cumbersome and time consuming. Small particles get trapped in the plates, top piece you push down and in the slicing protector. The little cleaning tool is a must. Don’t be tempted to remove any food with your fingers. I will also be getting a brush. It is dishwasher safe, but I cleaned it by hand. It was convenient to have the vegetables fall into the container provided. The lid fit securely and didn’t slip. I did set the whole thing on a rubber shelf liner to keep it from moving around on the counter which made it more secure during use. The slicing and dicing blades have little holders which is handy for storage.
