Nice dutch oven but a bit too easy to lift in my opinion.
I loved the overall appearance and finish work as there were no glaze imperfections around the exterior or interior. The well-fitted cover boasted good quality, prominent knob on top for ease of lifting. The side handles protruded enough for my medium-sized hands to pick up without fear of losing grip. For me, the one concern and deciding factor was its lack of substance. I have been used to heavier Dutch ovens and want to continue along those lines. I saw no reason to use it only to return it when I knew I was not thrilled about its being so light in weight.

My new favorite Dutch Oven
Used it for the first time last night and I love it! The emerald green is beautiful and I really like that it is a bit lighter weight than my previous Dutch oven but still seems very sturdy and well-made – no nicks or imperfections. I didnât learn until recently that Dutch ovens should use lower temperatures (the product description says you can sear food in it which is a higher temperature so that confuses me) and I think I scorched my previous one using very high heat so this time Iâll be more careful. It cleaned up easily and was easier to wash compared to my larger one.

My first challenge for this pot was a beef stew. Covers all the bases. Sauteeing, braising, browning. Handled them all with consistent, even heat. The size is perfect for either a large family or those Sunday sauces. A five minute soak with some hot water and it cleaned up brilliantly. Like any enameled cookware, metal utnsiles are a no no. In comparison to the coveted high priced brand, I’m quite satisfied with its performance and quality. Yes, like all enameled cast iron, it has some weight to it. But as any good cook knows, that’s the trade off for proper stewing,braising, deep frying or browning.And priced? This morning I saw an equivalent, but slightly smaller one, for $420. That “coveted” brand no longer looks so attractive.

Perfect for stews
This is a very nice Dutch oven. Iâve used it a few times to make stew and despite burning the food, the pan was easy to clean. It is heavy duty and feels like good quality. Beautiful addition to any kitchen!

Just received my Mueller 6qt enamel cast iron Dutch oven in light gray and it is GORGEOUS. Delivered in excellent condition and seems to be a very good quality. Little heavy but it’s supposed to be. Glad I read the reviews and saw most people were happy with theirs. Was lucky enough to get a $20 coupon on top on the already reasonable price. I have two other smaller ones (brand names) but I’m excited to use this bigger one. I don’t anticipate any problems but if there is I will update.

This is exactly as described. I really did my research before buying it. At the time it was on sale at a great price compared to others. I looked at all the well known and expensive Dutch Ovens but surprisingly this one had better reviews in which more people were happy with their purchase. I havenât had chance to use it yet but the quality is excellent. Having read a helpful review by a previous buyer I did purchase the Lodge pot protectors for $6.33 here on Amazon. They fit and are a great idea since it will help to vent the pot when itâs been cleaned and stored. The actual enamel looks great and the outer red colour is perfect. It is heavy but thatâs to be expected. Iâm really happy I ordered it and Iâm looking forward to using it for many years to come.

I’m still waiting to try this out but I did a very thorough inspection of this Dutch oven and could not fine a single flaw either on the enamel inside or outside. I’m so glad I didn’t think I had to spend hundreds of dollars to get a good Dutch oven. I know this is going to be perfect for my main reason for buying a Dutch oven and that’s for cooking soups and stews. When I get a little more adventurous I’ll try other dinners. The pot and lid fit well and are pretty heavy but manageable for me. I did purchase a package of 6 rubber clips that fit over the edge of the pot to protect nicks on the enamel after placing the lid onfrom after use. They allow air to circulate and reduce rusting I bought the clips on Amazon. The cost was very minimal. I think, $ 6 or soThe package the clips came in showed for a Lodge Dutch oven make but they fit and work well on my Mueller. I was a little surprised they were not include with the purchase of this Dutch oven but I’m glad these clips fit fine and not expensive. The lid fits well and does not slide around wjith the clips in place as they are made of rubber. I would recommend this Muelker cast iron enamel Dutch ovenI’m looking forward to creating some soups and stews this winter with it and recommend the Mueller brand for an enamel Dutch oven
