    Very Nice and Non Stick
Our first Christmas pudding and the pan worked very well.Although the pan was steaming for about eight hours it didnot seem to mind the work. The process left little residue and the pan cleaned up with asimple warm water wash cloth and a rinse.

    It’s beautiful!
I’m so used to my Grammy’s old plum pudding pan, but I think it’s ready for retirement. Can’t wait to use the new pan to make our traditional pudding for Thanksgiving. It’s chock full of candied fruits and peels, raisins (the plums), molasses, and some wonderful spices. It also contains ground suet, which is getting harder and harder to find. I also bought a cute little rack to keep the pan off the bottom of the huge pot where the pudding steams for 3 hours. Can’t wait to try out my new pan. One thing is crucial is the ability to lock the top of the plum pudding pan so he simmering water can’t get into it. This pan look as though it will do the job very well.Happy holidays, everyone.

    Makes a great plum pudding!
I bought this to make my first ever plum pudding for a Downton Abbey themed dinner. It turned out really well! I’m not sure I love the taste of that particular recipe I used, but the cake was perfect, and the flambé finish made quite an impression! The pan is good quality, and the perfect size. I thought it would be too small, but it wasn’t. It did discolor a bit in the water during use, but that’s not really an issue to me. I will be using it again!

    Perfect tin for Christmas pudding
My pudding came out perfectly with no sticking at all. We steamed the puddings in the unlined tin for 10 hours on the day after Thanksgiving, aged it in the fridge, and steamed it again for 4 hours on Christmas Day. The other mold stuck terribly but this one slid right out with no problems at all- it was absolutely perfect! Highly recommend!

Trying an English Pudding for the first time…turned out great!!!!!
Is very lightweight and smaller than I imagined. I am looking forward to using this pan and it should make just enough pudding without too much left over. The downside: on arrival I had 2 small dents in it on the bottom of the pan about the size of your fingertips. There were also a couple small scratches on the outside. I intend to keep and use this. Should not affect the pudding. I have the Great British Cooking: A Well Kept Secret cookbook and am eager to try this steamer out. I am going to attempt the recipe on the pudding box first.*****3 hours later…..made the pudding on the side of the box recipe, added some dried cranberries and vanilla. Created an orange butter sauce (3 tbsp butter 3’tbsp confectioners sugar 3 tbsp brown sugar heated stirred over low and added 3 tbsp orange juice heated to boil and remove from heat imediately stirring briskly)with it which cut the sweetness of the molasses. Someone just got a free recipe….. The pan seems to work great and I used small amt of boiling water and a rack. Should work great for you.

Made a beautiful fig pudding for Christmas
I grew up with my grandmother and mother making a standing rib roast, Yorkshire pudding, brussel sprouts, and fruitcake and fig pudding for Christmas Dinner. I have always made the prime rib roast and Yorkshire pudding for our family Christmas which the grandchildren love. However, somewhere over the last half-century, the pudding mold disappeared from the family heirlooms. I decided that I should at least try to make it for my grandchildren so they could better know their English heritage. I ordered this pudding mold and round baking ring (looks like a small, round cooling rack-also available on Amazon) and gave it a go, using my grandmother’s recipe (which I suspect had been handed down for generations). My fig pudding turned out perfectly, in no small part due to this excellent pudding mold. I highly recommend this pudding mold, but be sure to get the accompanying baking ring!

Simple to use. Nice fluted shape.
I love making a variety of steamed puddings. Which involve the tedious steps to prepare for steaming. Using a ceramic pudding basin (which is heavy), covering it with foil, tying down the foil with kitchen string, to seal, then tying MORE kitchen string around the basin to make a handle to lift the heavy, hot basin back out of the water in the cooking pot. This is MUCH lighter weight, has its own self-sealing lid, and built-in handle to retrieve it from its bath. Also, a pudding basin is a flat-bottomed, slope-sided bowl, so the unmolded pudding is kind of boring and ordinary looking. This has DEEP-FLUTED sides, snd produces a more attractive molded pudding. Also, it has a central tube, (think Angel Food Cake tin) which cuts down on the time it takes to properly cook the pudding.

I’ve never bought a pudding steamer before so I have no benchmark or gold standard of pudding pots. However that said, I just learned to make sticky toffee pudding and Christmas pudding and all 5 have turned out great. I have had no issues and it will not break your bank for an entry level pudding steamer. It has worked great and does the trick.

These pans made beautiful banana bread and with a little pam the loaves literally just slid right out into my hands. Nothing stuck, the pan looked clean afterwards.

This is a fine pan in every way, except one. If you are looking for a pan for layer cakes, this one is not for you as it has slanted rather than straight sides. This will make for a cake that has an odd profile, or that needs lots of icing on the sides to compensate for the slant. The copy and the packaging mention that it is good for layer cakes – not so. If you only want to use this for single layer cakes, it will be fine, as long as you’re fine with slanted sides on your cakes.

This pan is wonderfully easy to use. Because it is a non-stick loaf pan, I have not yet needed to oil or grease it before putting in the dough. However, it is important to remember not to use sharp-edged utensils while removing items from the tray.
