Perfect for Appetizers
I was nervous to order these, but they turned out to be perfect for what I need. (It is actually more difficult than you might think to find basic tongs out there!) I ordered the 5 3/4 tongs. They are perfect for hanging on the side of an ice bucket for ice. I use them on my charcuterie board. I also use them for misc. ala carte items when we grill, such as for cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, etc. They feel sturdy in your hand. The opening is plenty wide. They appear to be stainless steel. I always end up hand-washing them, but it says they are dishwasher safe. Not sure what else you would need in a tong, but they have been great for me. **Update** I have now put them in the dishwasher multiple times and they came out perfect!

Be sure to check desired size before ordering
These tongs were ordered to help serve relishes for a holiday dinner. There were several size/length choices available and I blindly selected the smallest size (4″). The tongs arrived in a timely manner, seem to be well-made, and worked for olives and cherry tomatoes. If ordering again, I would order a bit longer length – 4″ is pretty small. I gave this item a 4-star rating because it is very easy to bend the tongs open more … this was a good thing for serving large olives, but I wondered if over time and use if metal fatigue might set in. They really are a nice little tong, and I don’t need to use them very often, so I’m sure they should last for awhile. Again, a little longer length would be easier for most items.

GREAT EATING UTENSIL FOR SNACKS!!!
Granted, there are bigger problems in the world, but one small annoyance has always been that chips, cheese curls, and many other snacks that are finger foods also require cleaning your fingers after every bite – especially if you are also trying to do something that needs relatively clean hands, whether that be typing on the keyboard, reading a book, doing paperwork, etc., etc., etc. The 5-3/4″ set of these tongs eliminates that problem completely; they are just the right length for use in eating, the tiny teeth grip the snack of choice but are blunt enough not to bother your mouth, the scooped shape means they can also be used for nuts, olives, grapes, – nearly anything you might be eating. The quality of these tongs is excellent, and it took almost no time to feel at home using them. Very, very glad we got these!
