I am so glad I purchased this service for 12 flatware. As soon as you pick it up you can feel the quality Mikasa is famous for. The pieces are a good weight without being flimsy or too heavy. The mirrored finish is polished without being too fussy or fancy making it perfect for every day use , but make no mistake this is beautiful flatware. The knives have a sharper edge than a regular butter knife which is a plus. Get this set – you won’t be sorry you did.

Solid set of silverware. Slightly too large for my liking, and a LOT more shiny in person than the pictures made me think they would be, but still usable and well made. Other cheaper sets I bought would slightly cut the inside of my mouth with how sharp the spoon edges were. This set is silky smooth and has some nice weight too it, but not too much. Again, my only gripe is the size is just slightly too big for my liking. I’m a 6 foot 170lb male with average hands and facial features.

Beautiful, classic and elegant, this cutlery has a very nice hand and high polish. Workmanship is extremely refined. I couldn’t find any fault with this set except that compared to older sets that I have, the utensils are quite a bit larger. Can’t fault shipping either. The package arrived in 23 hrs after ordering!

I saw this box of Mikasa cutlery on Amazon last year – it looked so perfect and I really needed a new setting for 12. So I still kept them in the original box and saved it for a special occasion. To my dismay when I opened the box last Saturday, it contained the big dessert spoon/forks and another different small dessert spoon as well as ONLY 11 of the big forks, the big spoons, the small spoons and the knives and ONLY 10 of the small forks!!!! What a joke! So much for supposedly a setting for 12!!!It’s probably too late for a refund but I feel cheated and let down by Mikasa. why and how??! So disappointed – to say the least. May be it was just the one off set – not sure what happened there…so please be careful when purchasing this box.
