Dishwasher safe; stay-cool handles; non-stick pot; this stock pot is a game-changer!
This MICHELANGELO 10″ D x 8″ W x 5″ H, nonstick stock pot holds eight quarts, is constructed out of 18/10 high-quality tri-ply stainless steel, has an etched honeycomb interior, has stay cool ergonomically designed handles, and comes with a tempered glass lid with a steam venting hole. This pot is a definite game-changer. I love how sturdy it is along with how well it cooks almost anything you put inside of it. I was initially hesitant to purchase this pot because it is so large but upon receiving it, I cannot imagine cooking without it.The way this pot was created with its honeycomb design makes for amazing heat retention and distribution. No matter the cooking surface you are using, you will find that this pot heats evenly. Speaking of cooking surfaces, you can utilize this pot on the following surfaces: ceramic, gas, glass, halogen, and induction. I have a gas stovetop and can confirm that it cooks beautifully on it. I didnât have a problem with uneven heating or burning. My meals came out perfectly each time I cooked with it.I also like that I can put this pot in the oven to keep things warm if I wish to do so. The unit is oven-safe up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. By putting it in the oven, my dish stops cooking from the bottom up and it also reduces the risk of burning from a direct heat source.The lid fits this pot perfectly. I love that it is made out of tempered glass. Not only can I see how my meal is cooking without taking off the lid and releasing the heat, but I will also be protected from any built-up steam due to the ventilation hole in the lid.The honeycomb coating is what makes this pot such a game-changer. If you want to, you can use stainless steel utensils while cooking. I tend to stay with silicone or wooden utensils but with a heavy stew, I can see the need for a stainless steel ladle. Sometimes you just need something bigger and heavier to gather up all of the delicious sauce and vegetables. The specialized coating also makes it great for high-heat searing or when cooking more delicate recipes in this pot.You can cook almost anything in this pot: soups, stews, sauces, small poultry birds, roasts, etc. I love the versatility of this pot.You can clean this pot by hand or put it directly into the dishwasher. Nice!I love this pot. It has definitely changed how I approach cooking. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to cook.

Cooks really well and is as good or better than other hybrid pot designs
I’ve been using similar hybrid pots and pans for several years now. This pan has a non-stick coating that according to the box is free of PFOA and BPA. I couldn’t find this detail in the listing when I ordered the pot and it was my largest concern.The pan is well made and cooks as well as my other honeycomb style pots and pans. It heats up very quickly and evenly and while I use a small amount of oil in most things I cook, this pan requires far less oil than would be needed if this was a stainless pan. I’ve found that this type of pan is not really great at cooking eggs as the eggs tend to get stuck on the stainless portion of the pan. It sticks far less than stainless pans but it is not ideal. But, for everything else, this has become my go to pot.I think the greatest concern is the longevity of the pan. I tend to spend as little as possible on non-stick pans as they wear out in a few years. We’ll see how this pan holds up but my other similar pans have far outlived the useful life of my other non stick pans. The stainless protects the non-stick surface from wear and tear and as the stainless portion gets very hot I don’t need to use as high a heat as on my non-stick pans.

Very well built
I have used this pot a few times now and the build quality surprises me every time. It’s thick and heavy, with solidly riveted on handles. The build quality is excellent, this pan feels like it will last a lifetime.It’s really hard to rate nonstick pans within the first year because even cheap pans work well at first, it’s really about how they hold up over time. So far it’s working well, so I can’t complain, the only issue is the honeycomb seems to have exposed, raised steel, which drags on utensils. I knew the honeycomb nonstick worked that way, but I didn’t think it would be that pronounced. You can feel it enough when you stir things that I wouldn’t scrap plastic utensils on the bottom since it might scrape pieces off of them.The star of the show is really the tri-ply and build quality, it’s got good heat distribution and is very sturdy. Without a nonstick coating, I would be confident this pot could be passed down for generations. But since it does have a nonstick coating, I just have to hope it holds up as well as the rest of the pot.
