A Lovely Saucepan In A Convenient size
This saucepan is a visual beauty. Upon opening, you are delighted and struck by the attractive appearance. Then, when you lift it from the box, you will be struck by the heft of this quality saucepan. The pan is the perfect size for two mature adults in my opinion. This morning, I made tea in it and found that it was just the right size to do that rather quickly.I guess that given the size, one would expect that it is very even heating. That tends to be a bit easier in a small sauce pan over a larger one. I added water just about 2 inch from the top and put the stovetop on medium heat (3.5 on my stovetop) I then took the temperature four different times during the heating of it simply to ascertain whether the entire pan was heating evenly. Not one area of the pan ever deviated by more than two degrees. Again, I suspect that this would not be unlikely as it is not an especially large (1 Quart) pan. It is obviously very even heating, and I would definitely say that it is the most visually attractive pan that I have ever had or used. The gold accents beautifully contrast with the pearlescent finish of this saucepan.I had also wanted to try the pan a bit further in another venue, since I was planning to write this review, and I wanted a bit broader scope of the pan. That being the case, I am presently finishing up cooking a small batch of rice pudding for dessert this evening, both of us are minimizing desserts these days so this is more than enough for us. The rice pudding has been a delight to cook in this pan, even though rice can be a bit tricky if you do not use a double boiler set-up. I am almost done making it and again the saucepan has performed marvelously. I purposely did not utilize a double boiler set up, as again, I wanted to see just how this saucepan would perform with cooking rice. This saucepan is not only even heating. It is visually a stunning pan in appearance. I would definitely recommend it as it seems to be very well-constructed and seems as though the pan will provide many years of service. Highly recommended!

Great pot! Maybe 85% non-stick.
Beautiful pot! It is small (1 quart) but I use that size all the time for cooking 4-5 servings of rice. I just have to be careful with this one because I canât âfluff with a forkâ inside the pot.I love the clear lid and vent. I often have to run to the stove because my water is boiling over but this lid kept that from being an issue for me.The handle is hollow in the middle and I have found these type handles are the BEST for using on a gas stove. Most handles get too hot and I have to use a pot holder to grab them. This one stays cool enough to grab with bare hands the whole time youâre cooking. And it is ergonomic/easy to grip. This would be ideal for cooking sauces. I like it a lot! I only knocked off one star because it isnât 100% non-stick. After cooking rice in it, the majority of the pot was completely clean with a rinse, but there was a ring around the top that I did have to scrub with a sponge. (See photo.)

Beautiful non-stick sauce pan
I never knew I could love a pot, but after using it daily for a week, I love this pot. In addition to being a really nice pot, itâs beautiful. Iâve never had a beautiful pot before. I never realized that a pot could be beautiful. The construction is aluminum alloy with a ceramic coating. Iâm impressed that after a week of use, the bottom exterior of this sauce pan isnât stained in any way, unlike a pan from a different manufacturer where the bottom was discolored after just one use. The inside is non-stick; everything Iâve cooked in it has slid off effortlessly. Iâm using it on a gas stove, but the manufacturer says it can be used on any type of stove top.Iâm cautious about cooking in pots and pans with coatings that might be unhealthy and have refrained from testing imported coated pots and pans from companies that arenât established enterprises. Thatâs not a problem with Michelangelo. The company has existed in Germany since 1931. It originally made silverware, but in 2000 expanded to cookware and utensils. The sauce pan is made in China, but is the product of a legitimate German company. The only possible negative Iâve found is in the ceramic coating, but since this sauce pan is not currently listed on the manufacturer website, I canât be certain. Some similar Michelangelo sauce pans are stated to be â100% free of PFOA, PTFE, lead, and cadmiumâ, but a sauce pan on their website thatâs most similar to this one is stated to be only âPFOA-freeâ. Itâs not necessarily a negative, but if itâs a concern to you, itâs something you should look into.Other than that, this is a really excellent sauce pan that I expect to continue using for many years to come.
