Sharp & Comfortable Bread Knife
I have tried quite a few bread knives, all of them highly reviewed, and all of them at least twice as expensive or more than this knife. This is at equal to or better than all of those that I have tried. It doesn’t have the pretentious Damascus steel engravings, and it isn’t as aesthetically pleasing as the high priced knives. It looks like a utilitarian tool from a working kitchen, not a senior project from a art&design school. The silicon grip and sharp blade are highly functional. It cuts dense, crispy bread with little effort. This proves that a sharp and comfortable knife doesn’t have to be expensive or look like a martial arts sword.

what a hunka hunka piece of burning love (apologies to Elvis). this knife is a winner. used it to cut up a fresh pineapple and the knife whipped thru the heavy rind like butter. never ever had an easier job cutting up a pineapple. awaiting a friend’s gift of her home made rustic crusty bread. no doubt this knife will get another standing O from me. great balance, weight; a quality piece for a great price. highly recommend!!

awesome bread knife
I bought this knife for all the sourdough bread I make. It cuts so smoothly, allowing you to cut really thin slices like the deli. I never knew a bread knife could make such a difference! Highly recommend.

This knife is definitely value for money. Sharp, easy to use, great grip ,great product.
Love that it has a great firm handle. Not easy to bend or break like some other knives I’ve bought before.

Great knife
This a fine knife and great value. We use it on more than just bread like carving roasts. We learned of it from Americas Test Kitchen where it was a winner!

Cuts bread like butter!
This knife works very well even on those difficult to cut sourdough boules. Highly recommend.

This knife is excellent for cutting soft and hard loaves of bread, both regular breads and dessert breads like banana bread. Works on many non-bread items as well. It is hard to believe this quality for such a relatively low priced knife. My only concern with this and all bread knives is that after multiple sharpenings, the “wavy” part, which makes them so effective as bread knives wears down. Of course at the price, I can just replace it. Best bread knife I have owned.

This knife cuts bread well, but differently from other knives I’ve had. It’s not like sharp sharp – I can’t cut through a sheet of paper, and I’m not scared of it cutting my finger. If I run my finger on the blade it doesn’t feel that sharp. I think it’s the design, the scallops of the teeth that give it it’s power. The first stroke it kind of skids a little unlike a knife with pointy serrations. But, wait for the second stroke, and it slices the loaf like butter. There are hardly any crumbs produced. I can cut a super thin slice with this thing. I love the 10″ – the knife is always in contact with the bread. I was initially going to buy a more expensive Japanese bread knife but the reviews on this one were so good (and price) that I thought why not. And now I realize, all I need is this Mercer Millennia.

Night and day difference between this and my last flimsy bread knife. This thing is pretty thick and wont bend easily. Very sharp out of the box and sliced through hard sourdough without tearing it apart. So sharp I might have to get a sacrificial cutting board for it

This is a great bread knife. Itâs sharp, weighty and has a great ergonomic design.

I had a tough time cutting through my boules with my old bread knife. I bought a bow knife, but the knife does too good of a job (it cuts into the cutting board). This Mercer knife does a pretty good job of cutting thick crusty bread. As an added bonus: it’s made in Taiwan.
