    Great Knife, good price
Very sharp, I love cutting bread with this knife. Perfect slices every time. Tried to cut frozen bread with it, wasn’t as successful, went back to my 9 inch chefs knife for that. Slicing meat is a breeze, super thin, even slices and tomatoes are a cinch. WARNING you will take pieces of your finger off with this knife if you’re careless. It is sharp and cuts quickly.

    Superb Kitchen Knife
I have been using the same old bread knife for more years than I care to admit. I had no idea how wonderful this new design would be; no more knuckle rapping. As mentioned by other reviewers, this knife is really sharp. It makes a breeze out of chopping chocolate and can slice through a tomato with ease. I have been using it for more things than what you would generally consider using it for. Having bought very expensive knives in the past and not really been impressed, this knife is an incredible bargain. I will definitely be buying other Mercer knives.

    The Best
Simply the best breadknife. Sharp, serrated, offset for clean cut sandwiches without busting knuckles, rubberized grip, ans an unbelievable price. You will love this knife.

    JUst what was needed
I was tired of our other knives just tearing through our bread so ordered this one to try it out. It is very, very sharp. I sliced my knuckle open not paying attention but that is completely my fault. A sharp bread knife is what I wanted and it is what I got. It cuts slices cleanly no matter what type of bread you are slicing. I have very small hands and my husband has very large hands but the way it is designed it works comfortably and perfectly for both of us. Highly recommended

Not as stable cutting as the 10″
The knife is sharp, and stays sharp and cuts cleanly through the freshest, crustiest bread without squashing the bread or leaving a pile of crumbs. The only downside is that the blade is so narrow is doesn’t cut straight as easily as a broader blade does, such as the 10″ Mercer.I strongly recommend paying the extra $4 for the sheath as this knife is aggressively sharp.

    Great Knife, Excellent Value
I LOVE this knife. Seems to be well made, easy to clean and works great! I even used it to slice frozen bread and I didn’t have any problems. I am always careful when using knives but if you’re were not paying attention, this one might “bite.” Highly recommended especially for the price.

    Cuts fingers and bread!
Well….it sure is sharp! 😳 I have barely hit the blade a few times and have ended up with wrapped fingers after each dumb move. It cute great (obviously) and has a nice handle etc….you cant beat the knife value for the price

Very good serrated knife. If the price differential between the 8 inch & 9 inch is not much (the 9 inch was double the price of the 8 inch when I purchased mine) then the 9 inch I think would be a better buy as it appears to offer more clearance when cutting.

Meine vollste Empfehlung !

Fairly sharp, price is reasonable, steel is mehBuild quality is so so, some rough spots exist on the handle, blade spine is fairly sharp (to hold, cant cut you)Slices bread okay, and the offset isn’t significant enough to fit fingers under while flat.

I saw these at a local bakery that specializes in artisan bread. The clerk asked if I was interested in purchasing one ,as it was what they used, and she assured me that I would not be disappointed. And she was right!I have since purchased several more as gifts.
