Comfortable to hold and use!
I just love this knife! Itâs the perfect weight and size for cutting my home made bread. I bought it left-handed for my lefty husband, but I have zero issues using it myself. Itâs wonderfully sharp (be careful)! Itâs a great knife for the price!

If you’ve ever squished a crusty loaf of bread with a less than perfect bread knife before …
then this is the knife for you. I have two other rather expensive bread knives but somehow neither of them makes it cutting through a crusty loaf with a lovely soft interior crumb without flattening it a little or a lot.I discovered this knife while cutting a loaf at a friend’s and magic happened! The serration is just right, the handle is offset so your knuckles don’t get in the way, and it’s beautifully balanced in the hand. The crust didn’t crack, the interior stayed completely untouched by the pressure of cutting and a perfectly sliced loaf was ready for the table. And best if all – it comes on a LEFT-HANDED version. For we south paws everything in this world is built for right-handed people. Scissors are the worst. But this knife – such a treat! Gotta love the always great advice from Wirecutter.

Cheap left-handed knife.
We rent for several weeks in different houses in Florida and this is the perfect left-handed knife to take with me without worrying if I leave it behind. I have better ones at home, but the price was right.

Fantastic knife
This is a wonderful knife for cutting bread, it also works well on angel food cake. Wish I’d found it years ago!

Great Bread Knife
This knife slices right through the crustiest sourdough. I love the feel. The only issue is that I ordered a left handed knife, the box and contents didn’t indicate if it was for a lefty, and the slice seems to angle toward the back of the loaf (held in my right hand) while slicing. I’ll live. For less than $20 it’s exceptional.

Great knife for lefties
If you ordered the left handed bread knife it will say it is left handed on the packaging. If it does not, you received the wrong item and you should ask for a replacement. This knife is very sharp, I nicked my finger and didnât even feel it so be careful handling the blade. It cuts bread, hard rolls, and pita bread with ease and precision – makes a clean smooth cut without tearing. I also love that, while the blade is sharp, the tip is not. I stabbed my finger with my old bread knife which was the impetus for getting this one. Iâm very happy with this purchase.

Best bread knife I’ve ever used
Great product at excellent price. Most bread knives tend to shred rather than cut…not this one. Excellent for slicing tomatoes and cutting up melons as well. Completely satisfied.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS KNIFE!
I am very happy with this knife! Cuts thin slices of bread with no problem. Today the Mercer knife cut pecan cookie bars without tearing them up! WOW! It’s great! One caveat: The knife is listed as made in USA of Japanese stainless. It might have been made in USA at one time, but the listing should be updated to reflect that it is now made in Taiwan.

…It’s also almost the ONLY left-handed serrated knife available on amazon. It is on the long side, and may not fit in your knife block. It’s disappointing that no kind of safety guard is included, and the packaging cannot be re-used for this purpose. The most disappointing aspect however, is that it costs almost TWICE what the right-handed model sells for on amazon. Not cheap. I hope it lasts.

Well, even having read other reviews that warned how sharp this knife is, I still managed to cut myself! This is the best knife Iâve ever owned, including several Henckels knives over the years.

This bread knife is perfect! It is very solid, the blade does not wobble, and it easily cuts through the toughest crust of my homemade bread. Highly recommend.

I ordered this for my left-handed husband because he had so much trouble with our regular bread knife and upon using it declared “the best bread knife he had ever used”.
