Great quality
Love these tongs. So much nicer than the department store variety; will not rust. Nice enough to leave on the kitchen counter with other kitchen tools. Great that they’re heat resistant.

Design is flawed. Doesnât work well
Doesnât work well. The tip does not touch, which means it can only pick up larger items that have little weight â cotton balls?

Decent tongs
Needed some new nonstick safe tongs. They work well and do handle heat. There not as grippy as my older Faberware tongs that lasted 10 plus years. For the price they work pretty good.

Fantastic little tong for kitchen use
I like to heat tortillas over the gas burner of my stove and wanted an inexpensive pair of tongs that would not melt in the heat yet gentle enough to turn corn or flour tortillas. These tongs work like a charm plus they are nice enough to use serving green salad, or rice, or grilled veggies at the table. Good value for the price and you have to love the tomato red color! The 9 1/2 inch length is not a good idea for a BBQ unless you are using gloves.

Easy to pick up and turn bacon, tortillas, or other lightweight food!
Will not harm your non-stick cookware. These will not open totally like metal tongs, but for what I wanted them for, tortillas, bread, and bacon, they work great and will not burn and get melted. That’s what I hated about my turners and forks that were made out of vinyl that I had bought at a local store, they were inexpensive but when I have to buy a new one every year that is not much of a savings, this will last me years, and will likely outlive me.

Disappointed, really not up to Mercer standards
We like Mercer for their value as we remember from our years in a corporate kitchen (pans, pots, stainless, etc.)Purchased along with Mercer’s “Hell’s Tools Hi-Heat Slotted Spatula” (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IGOU8CW), which is good. This is not up to their standards for the home let alone industrial, workforce environment.Testing them while still secured to the packaging, tongs do not close properly. Might be good for large vegetables or greens, but those bacon slices will slip through while protecting our nonstick pans.

The tong does not have a spring at the base. It requires a strong grip to pick up and carry food from one place to another. After several messy and sometimes dangerous spills I threw it in the bottom-drawer where things go to die!

Honestly I have never seen anything this flimsy!! Your better off folding two pieces of paper and attempt grabbing stuff with that as it will most likely be a lot more rigid .. weakest tongues ever!

The quality of the material seems OK but needed work to remove flash from moulding process. At this price point that’s acceptable.
