Sometimes try using it upside down, otherwise great paring knife which I dishwash regularly – BUY
I mentioned that somehow the design leads me to sometime grab it and use it upside down. Weird. Otherwise great price, cuts well, blade isn’t flimsy as some others in this price range. Most importantly, I put it through the dishwasher several times a week with no problems so far. This is not a fancy knife. Understand that and want to put in dishwasher ? this is the one. BUY.

As good as its more expensive sibling
Recently bought my first set of “expensive” knives from Mercer. We misplaced the paring knife which had cost about $30 bucks. I bought this as a replacement and wish I had bought it years earlier. While the feel of the handle is clearly cheap, the blade itself is excellent and easily rivals higher priced versions. The original knife has since resurfaced, but I use them interchangeably. I plan to buy a few more from the line just to fill out the cabinet. I imagine this would be a great food service knife as well.

Feels much more substantial than other paring knives
Sharp, comfortable, and does not feel flimsy unlike popular alternatives like the victorinox. Will see how they both age, but I suspect I’ll be sticking with this one as my go to paring knife.

    Broke in 10 months
This knife served me well for 10 months. Sharp, good size, easy to use, and the price was right. Well, it only lasted 10 months. My Victorinox paring knives (similar appearance) were a little more pricey but have lasted for several years.

I was surprised by how good the knives are. The reviews are justified—they’re the best knives I’ve ever had (this is the first time I’ve bought proper knives). The blades are so sharp that I was amazed at how much easier meal prep became. They’re also easy to sharpen back to their original edge. I highly recommend them!

The white one is thinner, better for storage but doesn’t have the black rubbery part on the handle.I have a few Mercer products, they’re pretty solid. Good quality builds.

This knife is well worth the bang for your buck. Very sharp and easy to clean. Sharpens really well and keeps its edge very well for the price range.
