This is my first Dutch oven. I wanted to bake bread and a recipe that I wanted to try called for a Dutch oven to cook it in, so I decided to give this one a try.The price is great, and I was surprised at how big the 6-quart size was when I received it. It’s huge!The pot is beautiful and heavy. I bought the matte black one, and I love the subtle elegant look of it and the nice white interior. I have baked bread in it, and it works perfectly. It seems to do a good job creating an even heat and also retaining heat after it’s removed from the oven, and the top creates a nice, tight seal.

Beautiful color, perfect size for sourdough and baked a gorgeous loaf of bread nice and evenly. My only gripe is that it chipped on the top edge/rim of the bowl after using once. I suppose I need to be more careful in placing the lid but wouldn’t have thought that would be an issue so soon.

This Dutch Oven is my 1st and delivers as advertised. Use rubber, bamboo or other utensils that don’t scratch away the porcelain coating.I found even heating, great size, easy to use but heavy to lift and move.
