6″ Chef’s, Great Value, Taiwanese Made, Beats Victorinox
Mercer BPX is made with a higher grade of steel than their Millenia series knives and the handle is more ergonomic allowing and easier pinch grip. It also wins out over the Victorinox 6″ Victorinox because the Mercer keeps the chef’s knife geometry where you can rock chop without slamming your knuckles on the cutting board. The Victorinox 8″ is great, but the 6″ is more like a petty than a chef’s knife.Finally, unlike many competitors, the Mercer is made in Taiwan, not China. So you can feel good about buying it.
