Engine blew on first use
I bought 2; one for me and one for my son. I wanted a good brand hoping to use for a very long time. I used this for the first time today to make butternut squash soup. All ingredients were soft and liquid from carrot juice and chicken stock. Used for about a minute and a half and I heard a loud pop. I pulled the plug quickly and set it in the side of the sink. Outlet still works and no burning. The blender itself smelled burny and I made the mistake of trying to pick up the unit. It was burning hot. I hurt my hand but didn’t hold it long enough to mark or burn my hand. To say disappointed is an under statement. I bought it last April and I’m sure not refundable or replaceable although it was only used once. Any advise?
