Took me a second to figure out how to get the blade inside, as the rear screw was jammed in a little too tight. Smooth sailing afterwards.I love the safety feature where the blade can stay tucked away.Looks nice, the fridge magnet feature is super utilitarian. The blades it came with are sharp and slice through bread with no trouble! Good quality overall.6 months in, this is holding up great and Iâm still only on my first blade! I bake about once a week and almost always put decorative scoring on my sourdough loaves. The blade tends to get stuck in place though making it hard to slide it out and back, so Iâm going to take a star off for that.

Love this Lame!
Honestly I thought all cheaper version Lames would be the same and I had my heart set on a wire monkey ufo bread Lame. I bought these for sourdough kits I curated to sell to some of my friends and family and I immediately noticed how awesome it was. I ended up getting a wire monkey ufo lame for Christmas and I am highly disappointed by it. I wish I just kept one of these for myself. I might just order it for myself because I love my moms so much!

Looks nice but not so practical
This looks great and love that itâs magnetic. Unfortunately, the blade is not easy to open and close. It also doesnât stay in place after opening unless you tighten with a flat head which is truly inconvenient. They should have added another tightening mechanism to do manually.
