Nice bread lame
It comes with a small booklet of different lane patterns and additional blades.. Blade is sharp, handling is easy and smooth. Despite the plastic material feels a bit cheap it was easy to use and works fine.

Safer alternative!
I have just been using a loose razor blade when scoring my bread, so this seemed like something that would make my baking habits much safer. This definitely is much safer than having a blade just floating around in my drawer, and I like that it is also safer when using. The blade changing process is a little stubborn, which is my main complaint with this item. It also is a little bit difficult to keep entirely clean, which is important. I love the color, and I love that it comes with extra blades.

Great For Anyone Who Bakes Bread!
This is one of those items that I never thought about, that is until got this into hand. I had been using a paring knife to make my cuts in my loafs. I got this tool, and it is so much easier and my cuts are cleaner. It’s also easier to make more fancy designs, of which they do provide some patterns. For me, this works very well. I’m sure there are more expensive ones, but this works perfectly for what I do. I don’t bake every day, but it’s nice to have the tools to work with when I do.

Falls off the refrigerator
The magnet isn’t strong enough to hold it on the refrigerator which could be super dangerous since I have a toddler. The blade is kind of a pain to change. It’s a small part, so if your eyes and fingers are not nimble it may not be for you

Works very well!
I like the design of the body of this, it’s easier to hold in your hand than many. The blades are definitely sharp! The blades are also thin, so they make a finer cut in the bread. This came with not only extra blades, but a paper showing different designs you can make in the bread. That is handy for me, because I’m not especially creative or artsy. Recommended!

Simple and effective
I got into bread making early in the pandemic. In that time I’ve gone through a few lames, some good, and some bad. This one’s neat. It’s easy to clean, small, and the blade retracts so it’s safe to keep in a drawer. The housing around the blade is two solid pieces of plastic that come apart with no hassle, and then snap back into place quick. There’s a pack of extra blades included with the lame so I expect this item to last a long time.It’s straight-forward and simple, with no gimmicky parts that can break down. There’s definitely more expensive options out there for people who prefer a wood aesthetic, but for the cost I think this lame is great.

I LOVE that this tool is retractable. The razor slides down in the tool for storage. Razor was sharp. Plastic is sturdy.
