Works for everything.
This is a great knife for the money. We use it for everything. Sharp, heavy, well-made.It doesn’t match our Henckel set but that’s a good thing as I go straight to this knife for so many things. I have been hand washing – carefully, this thing’s sharp! – but I’m sure it could go in dishwasher no problem.

Great for bread cutting
I bought this to put in an sourdough bread basket I put together for a church auction. It was a nice addition.

Good Bread Knife
I researched several bread knives and chose this one. It is well made. It is very sharp and cuts through bread much better than my old bread knife. My old knife was thin. It would turn on the slice and difficult to handle. This Mad Shark knife has a heavier feel. It is well balanced in the hand. It comes in a nice box crafted to hold the knife. I like to store the knife in the box to avoid dinging the blade on objects in the drawer. I find the knife cuts through sourdough well. One reason I chose this knife over others is the design of the bolster between the blade and the handle. Some comments on other knives indicated the hand could easily be cut by the blade because there was too little space between the blade and the fingers on the handle. On the Mad Shark, the blade finishes into a smooth bolster that curves up in a smooth finish to the handle. It is well crafted in my opinion. Iâm glad I made the purchase.
