Zester can be used for other things
I saw an ad for a tool which looked very similar to use with hard butter. I decided this would do just as well for about a fourth of the price. I’m glad to say it works! If you want zest from a lemon, lime, or orange, this works great. If you want to spread hard butter, try this. You will be pleased!

Makes long string of lemon skin
Sturdy. Zests well can zest on either side.

Adequate zester, dull channel knife
Quality is OK. I wouldn’t call it heavy duty, it’s actually very light weight but rigid enough for the job. It is all stainless, no problem in the dishwasher. The zester works fine but the channel knife on mine is pretty dull, if I had a tiny file I would try to sharpen it.

Sturdy and easy to use
I bought these for making pomanders by peeling parts of the orange rind and adding cloves in the rind. . They turned out great for Christmas!!

Channel Knife Didn’t work
Had a similar tool and purchased another for travel utensil kit. The zester was sharp and worked ok. The Peel Channel knife didn’t cut at all compared to our other purchase. What we thought would be great for testing and making fancy drink embellishments turned out to be a DUD. 🙁

Somewhat inefficient
Zesting lemons and limes, but the cutter wedge does not seem sharp or pointed enough to smoothly cut through the rind.

Half good tool
The zester/grater works fairly well, not extremely even, but most of the time you aren’t looking for very even zest, and it was a $6 tool. The main reason for the lower rating is the channel knife. It is very shallow, cuts out narrow twists, and even more uneven, which for a citrus twist you want the evenness, rendering the channel knife part of the tool almost useless.Worth the money, yes. But if your main interest is for a channel knife, go find a dedicated channel knife.
