Looks are deceiving!
The dishes are very beautiful but the quality is not good. The bands around the teacups are inconsistent. The soup/cereal bowls are extremely small and should be labeled as fruit bowls instead. I was very disappointed with this set and I did return them.

Nice set
This is the traditional imperial design with the unmistakable look. It is not the original set produced by the Lomonosov porcelain factory in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is a forgery, but a very nice one. Please note that for a single plate of the original you are likely to pay as much as for this entire set. A cup and a plate in the set came with the minor defects, which probably attests to the fact that the country of origin is indeed Russia and not China (Chinese take pride in everything they do!). I am Russian and I use the set with every meal. It warms my heart… for the bargain price of 80 bucks (tax and shipping included). Thanks!
