Great Purchase! Easy Transaction A+ Satisfaction.
Great pan! Shipping was amazingly speedy (overnight) on Prime. It is heavy, but not “too” heavy. Just right. Cooks great. Non-stick. Easy to clean and use. I was able to purchase this pan to replace a “non-stick” pan of similar size for LESS than purchasing a new “non-stick” pan and this one won’t chip or peel in a few months! Great value for the money.

Amazing and works like a charm, this cast iron pan has made its way into my family’s daily life, being a bit heavy proving its durability and heats up quickly. I haven’t felt any stickiness like how some of the reviews have mentioned but it does leave a rusty residue if not dried properly.All in all Its a lovely member of your kitchen if used properly ð.

Itâs a cast iron griddle, what can I say? Itâs heavy. You have to wash it by hand and oil it. Things stick much more than they do in a non-stick pan. At the same time, it does not release toxic chemicals and will last forever, so I will happily accept the cons.

I should have got one sooner
I should have got one sooner. These never wear out. If you mess up the seasoning, it can be stripped off and redone pretty easily. When seasoned it works almos the same as quality non-stick cookware. With this you don’t need to worry with over heating it and ruining the coating. It’s a little bit heavy so lifting it one handed takes a strong wrist. Washing is pretty easy, I washing the sink with dish soap and a scrubby sponge. If I scrubbed a lot a quick wipe with oil is enough to stop any rusting. Drying also help keep the rust away if the seasoning is worn down. I am surprised with being cast iron how quickly it heats, it’s not much slower than quality thick aluminum or layered cookware. This does heat pretty uniform as well, but there can be hotter spots than others depending on what size burner it is on. At times this is a benefit if I want to keep something warm/hot and cook something in the hot spots. Want to make a rare and medium steak in the same time, it’s possible. Also nice that metal utensils can be used without concern. Works great for fajitas, not something you can do with non-stick/teflon cookware. No problem under a broiler either. Like I started with, I should have got this sooner.

Husband is happy
I bought this for my husband and he really likes it. We have a cast iron grill/griddle that sits on top of 2 burners that weâve been using for the past 10 years. It works okay but is a real pain to clean. Since thereâs only 2 of us, we wanted a griddle that could be used on just 1 burner, accommodate the foods we cook routinely, and was easier to clean then the larger heavy grill/griddle we have been using. With the square dimension of this griddle it has just a tiny amount less useable space than our old rectangle griddle and accommodates everything we have cooked. The handle makes it easy to move as needed and cleanup is a breeze. My husband has used other cast iron cookware for decades, and while he likes this griddle a lot, his only complaint is that the heat distribution is not as even as his other cast iron pieces. Maybe itâs because the other pieces are round and this one is square. Anyhow, now that he is aware of the areas that take longer to heat up, he has adjusted placement of the food and is quite happy to have this Lodge cast iron griddle.

Cast iron cookware isn’t flashy or high tech. It’s a ridiculously good value that will last longer that you will if maintained. The large square griddle is an excellent choice if you’re trying to make plate sized pancakes for the kids.

The mass of this griddle means it holds the heat wonderfully, and if we leave it on very low for a couple of minutes before loading on the bacon, the heat is evenly distributed. The bacon cooks quickly and very evenly. This unit is at least twice as good as the old aluminum griddle we were using before. Highly recommended!

Excelente producto. No tardan demasiado en calentarse y calor se distribuye parejo.Los huevos estrellados quedan perfectos y sin pegarse. Los hotcakes quedan hermosamente dorados.Estoy empezando a usar este tipo de sartenes, buscando la salud de mi familia y ha sido muy grato descubrir lo fácil que es cocinar en ellos y lo sencillo que es su limpieza.Lo único importante es nunca dejarlos remojando, lavarlos rápido con agua caliente y casi nada de jabón y secarlos inmediatamente (yo lo pongo un minuto en la lumbre de la estufa) y periódicamente engrasarlos ligeramente después del secado y poner unos minutos al “punto de humo” en el horno Suena un proceso complicado (yo misma lo pensé) pero realmente no lo es. Bien cuidados estos sartenes duran toda la vida.El único inconveniente es que es pesado, lo cual será realmente complicado para las personas que tengan problemas de falta de fuerza en sus manos o artritis.

I seasoned the pan a couple of times before I used it and have since used it in our Wood Fired Oven and on the Gas Hob, nothing sticks and easy to clean afterwards.Highly Recommended.
