Innovative Product! Why didn’t I purchase years ago?
After the second time dumping my crockpot while taking food to a potluck, I searched Amazon for a lockable lid for my crockpot. I was unsuccessful, but I did find the Lid Latch. It was instantly clear that this was a great purchase, and I’ve had friends purchase them since.The Lid Latch is versatile and can accommodate many sizes of crackpots and casserole dishes. The package even came with two so that you can share or have a backup. This is a really great product and would make an excellent gift or stocking stuffer for the avid cook.Pros – the silicone stretches more than adequate to fit snuggly on most crock pots or casserole pans. – the silicone is non-slip and holds lids in to place and prevents leaks – there are multiple loops so that the desired level of snugness may be found – two to a package – seems quite durableCons – I do constantly worry that is going to rip or break at the wrong time and my food is going to go flying. It has yet to happen though.

Handy little thing. Fits my 4 qt. crockpot and casserole dishes with a round knob. Took it to a party, the hostess noticed it admiringly and said “I want one!” It doesn’t fit my larger crockpot though which has a handle on the lid and rounded handles on the sides. I came up with a workaround. Starting at the top, I hooked the band on the legs. But this method only works if the slow cooker is no more than half full since you have to tilt it to get the band securely around the legs. Being heat resistant is a plus.

Simple and Effective design
I really like this! Grabbed it to help carry dishes for Thanksgiving, and I used it to hold the lid on my Aldis imitation le crueset beast of a pot. It worked great! I was able to thread the silicone through the handles and then hook it over the top. This held the lid on really well, and fairly tight. You might not get a waterproof seal from your normal lid, but even if you were pushing the lid on with your hand it wouldn’t be waterproof. 10/10 would purchase again.

These work great keeping the lids on dishes while traveling. They are sturdy and adjustable to quite a few of my casserole dishes.

Definitely recommend
Loving this. Used the smaller red one on my 2qt slow cooker. Because the cooker is small I pulled it across the top pulled the ends in the side handles and stretched it back tight up to the top and hooked the top handle, stretching it. This worked great at making sure the top was secure for my 40 minute ride to work. I was even able to use the slots to hold the serving spoon in place for the drive. I definitely recommend this and even purchased a set for my cousin who is always involved in potluck at her church.

Did not secure lid on 4qt crockpot with rounded handles.
Not suitable for a 4qt crockpot with rounded handles. The bands just slipped off the top handle, the side handles…no matter how I tried to get either of them to secure the lid on the crockpot it did not work.

These lid latches work as intended. I use them to secure the lid of my mini crockpot for transport but they would definitely fit a full size crockpot. A great purchase for me.
