Love these!
Bought these to replace a set I received for a wedding gift 12 years ago. I researched the best stainless steel silverware and Lenox was number 1 in two of the articles I found. The pattern is pretty as pictured but simple which I like. Wash well in the dishwasher and seem to be holding up. They are very heavy but comfortable to use even for kids. You could easily knock someone unconscious with the handle of a butter knife, not that that’s important but hey good to know right? Someone complains about your cooking? Whack!Anywho, they are wonderful and come with nice serving pieces too! Also it’s a great value for a 12 serving set at the price! Will probably purchase extra pieces in this pattern for just in cases. No one has solved the mystery of disappearing silverware yet so it’s best to have spares!

We have had this set since Christmas. Love it!It’s moderately heavy and solid. Feels like quality in your hands. The almost mirror finish seems to be holding up well. The knives are showing some minor signs of scratches so we are being more careful with them and haven’t seen any new scratches. They come our of the dishwasher sparkling and shiny! They look pretty fancy and are good enough for our formal Sunday dinners but are great for daily use.The salad forks are actually pretty good sized so we tend to use them as regular forks which doubles the number of forks available. The teaspoons and tablespoons are perfectly sized. Teaspoon not too small, tablespoon is larger as it should be. The extra serving utensils are nice and we use them often.No sign or rust at all. I’ve looked carefully. They sometimes sit in the sink sometimes (just like any normal family) and we always us the dishwasher. Sometimes we don’t use the heated dry. I don’t see rust and everything still looks new after 5 months of daily use.Overall I’m please enough with this set that I’m ordering another so that we have enough settings for some of our larger dinner parties.

Very Nice Quality for Great Price
This is a great set of everyday silverware, with an amazing price for service for twelve. It is a lovely pattern, not too fussy or ornate, and it has the weight and feel of VERY expensive flatware. The serving pieces are likewise beautiful and heavyâ¦.it is just an incredible buy for both quantity AND quality for the entire set.I was a bit skeptical when I ordered, but knew I could return it if I wasnât impressed. Iâm so glad I took the risk, as I have ended up with heirloom quality for a bargain price!!

Study, Attractive Flatware Set
I already own a Lenox brand flatware set in a similar design that was purchased at least 8 years ago, and have been impressed with the quality. Over the years some of the pieces have gone missing, so I no longer had a complete set for 12. The French Perle design is very similar in weight and size to the other set. So far the pieces have come out of the dishwasher clean and shiny, and have met my expectations. The pieces are heftier than many other flatware sets, which may not appeal to everyone, but I appreciate that they are sturdy, hold up well to daily use, and work with casual or formal dining.

18/10 Silverware is the Way to Go, and This is Hefty!
I had one requirement when I looked for new silverware. I wanted 18/10 stainless steel. I have an Oneida 18/10 set that has been in daily use for 30 years. It wouldnât be confused with brand new, but it still has a bright shiny surface.In short: Stainless steel silverware generally has 18% chromium. That’s the 18 in the 18/10, 18/8 and 18/0 designations. Nickel is added for corrosion resistance. That’s the 10, 8 or 0 after the slash. Stainless silverware with zero nickel added loses its luster after a couple years. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, it just won’t have the shiny polish anymore. Think of how most restaurant silverware does not have the new-silverware luster.This set is 18/10, meaning it has at least 10% nickel. High-end 18/10 silverware has more than 10%. 18/10 costs more, but it will stay beautifully shiny for decades.I have only one complaint about my new Lenox French Perle silverware. It spots in the dishwasher. I have no idea why. I use a rinse agent in the dishwasher and my old Oneida set doesn’t spot. But there you go. This isn’t a biggy for me, and I otherwise like this set.Other things to note: This silverware is “continental” size, bigger than is usual for American sets. The dinner knife is 9 ¼” long. The larger dinner fork is 8 ¼”.The individual pieces also weigh slightly more, as you’d expect. In particular, the knife handle is heftier. My husband loves this. For comparison, using a kitchen scale, one Oneida dinner knife weights 2.35 ounces and a French Perle knife weighs 5.45 ounces.The box states that the French Perle set is “American by Design”. This is true, but it is manufactured in Vietnam. Lenox offers a Breakage Replacement Program. If a silverware piece breaks from “normal use”, Lenox offers a replacement “provided one is available” for 50% off.We’re enjoying our new silverware! 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.Happy Reader
