Le Creuset Spherical Dutch Oven Tote Bag, 15 in., Ecru

Needs improvement
I have never brought my Le Creuset to a pot luck etc because they are so heavy–and spillage likely, and because of the possible damage to my precious pots. I saw this and had to have it. The good: It is very sturdy, looks good. It does fit my 5.5 oven, it is insulated. I could find no reviews. Odd that it is sold out on the Le Creuset site, but still could find no reviews. The bad–I wanted to make sure it fit so put my empty oven into it. Yes it fits but was tricky to manouver into the handle spaces. I had to tilt the pot a bit to get the handles in place. My thought was–if I had a pot full of hot goodness I can see where there could be some spillage, not to mention frustration. If it were not so snug aroung the 5.5 size it would not be an issue The proof is in the pudding as they say. Also it is very light colored beige/ecru; not the best color to camouflage stains or any other griminess that may set in. To make matters worse, it is spot clean only. For me, it was quite expensive. I will keep it an hope for the best. Ideally it should be a bit larger so getting a 5.5 heavy pot of food into the tote is not such a challenge. And I would suggest a more user friendly color where stains would not be so evident. Also there is an elastic strip affixed to the inside of the zip up cover. I have not figured out what that is for–maybe to hold a utensil but there does not seem to be enough space between the tote lid and the lid of the oven.
