Fantastic
It came very nicely and carefully packaged. I purchased this on sale for $155.00 in Cherise. The Cocotte is very large at 7.5 quart capacity. Being cast iron it is of course heavy. It has a glass lid, it can be used both on the stovetop and in the oven. (The pan and the glass lid are said to be oven-safe up to 500 degrees). The glass lid is dishwasher safe). Though it is featured as a soup pot it functions like Balti, I make curries and dry chicken, cooks well. Unfortunately I plan to return it as I dint realize it is too big.

First Rate Cocotte
I purchased this on sale for $167.00 in Cherise. The Cocotte is very large at 7.5 quart capacity. Because it has a cook and look glass lid it is much lighter to handle for washing, moving it to the table etc. Though it is featured as a soup pot it functions like any other dutch oven. The only thing to be aware of is the bottom of the Cocotte is smaller than a regular 7 qt. Le Creuset Cocotte. So braising meat will have to be done in batches due to the smaller flat bottom surface. On the other hand a whole chicken, turkey, roast will be accommodated due to its huge volume overall. The fit and finish are of the highest quality and the enameling is gorgeous. If you need or want another piece of Le Creuset this makes a versatile piece for your collection.

A Home Run!
I bought this as a Christmas present for my brother’s girlfriend. You would have thought I gave her a million dollars. She absolutely loves this pan. She has used it for roasts, casseroles and soup. Likes the easy cleanup and how it holds heat. A winner!

You get what you pay for!
This pot is amazing to cook with. Hard to explain without experiencing it. The way the oil sautee garlic and onion at a mid temperature, the size makes it perfect for soups, stews and just about anything. It is one of my most used since I bought it.

Owner of several Le Creuset, opinion on this pot
We all know not to use metal utensils for this fine cookware. However someone did in my household. Typically this cookware will withstand such errors from time to time. This one failed. I still give the brand high marks. And I still use this pot with its two hairline scratches. Iâm on the fence on this pot. My older vintage le Creuset seems heavier and more durable.

The Perfect âToolâ for the Everyday Cook
I think this is a perfect sized pot/pan. Although it is heavy, it is great for stir-fry, soup making, pasta, etc. Very versatile. The cost is worth it
