Easy to handle lame.

Great for scoring bread dough
I bought it to score sour dough or artisan bread prior to baking. The razor, which is any double-edged razor, slides into a rubber holder/case. When you want to use it, it can be tiny bit difficult to push out. (Thus the 4-stars) But the holder does keep it secure and safe from slicing your hand which is important! Itâs a luxury, for sure, but if you are into convenience and kitchen gadgets, itâs great!

concealed razor blade
I like thgis for scoring my chilled sourdough. It works far better than a sharp knife. I just slash or X, nothing fancy, but could easily make curls. After several loaves I am soon going to change the blade (they send 5). The ability to retract it immediately makes it safe in my kitchen where little hands my wander.

looks great but didn’t work out for me
I wish it worked out for me. The color is great, its lightweight and easy to install. However I had so much trouble getting it to slide in and out. The idea is great but wish it had something I can use to easily slide it in and out.Customer service is top notch. They really made effort to try to help me make use of it but ultimately it just didn’t work for me. 2 influencers I love watching use it in all their bread videos and htey make it look so easy so it coudl be me. 1 star for the idea itself and it seems like a solid sturdy item and 2 stars for the customer service. I may give it antoher try if I cannot find something comparable.

I love this lame! Not sure why I didnât make this purchase sooner. Use it on my sourdough loaves and it makes it so much easier than the long lame I used in the past. The closer the razor is in your hand the more precise you can make your decorative scores.

It is magnetic that’s nice , if u place blade in correctly as instructions made mention is a right way it will slide in and out, not nex easily but it will with some care. , the shell that holds blade in is magnetic holding blade in and that’s nice easy to open and fix or change blade and I have been able to use my nail and slide it in and out with some difficulty ,could be easier but it is magnetic which is nice. Feel this is a safer one to use it and put blade away. Feel price is overpriced .would give more stars if it was easier to retract and extend , can do it but could be easier.
