Great Pan – UPDATE : finish not so durable
UPDATE:Even though we don’t use any metal utensils with this, we found that the finish is starting to chip off several places inside the pan after just 6 months.ORIGINALI purchased this to replace an older pan with a flaking, dubious nonstick coating. WOW. This pan has been a dream. Light weight but sturdy and the coating is really smooth but durable.

All Star Sauce Pan
I loved the color of the saucepan (pistachio). It is very sturdy and is easy to clean. I make oatmeal in this saucepan.

First, the design. It falls short.
Of course, I read reviews, even the negative ones which usually tell more. I haven’t used it yet. The design is simple and almost austere for a KitchenAid,. The handle, though is split. Likely, stronger. I’d prefer the handle was covered because of heat, same with the lid. The size and the interior finish were adesired combination. But one review reveals a potential issue: Without a soft, protective ring, the lid can chip away at the interior finish. Customer service and quality control are a must – and a huge plus. Sadly, service is strangely lacking with too many companies who apparently can afford losing customers. Don’t be tolerant, but try, if you choose, to contact a corporate office if you can, by phone or letter and make them aware of any problems, kindly.
