Beautiful complete knife set for any kitchen
This is a really nice kitchen knife set that comes with a knife block to make it a complete package. It comes nicely packaged to ensure all the contents are protected. Each knife is nicely wrapped with a safety tip protector followed by a plastic sleeve and a paper sleeve to protect the blade.The knife block is well designed for beauty and functionality. Its slim design will fit in any kitchen and save space. I liked the well thought placement of the steel rod and shears located on the sides. The rear slots are for all the steak knives while the rest of the knives are held on by the front magnetic panel. The magnet is pretty strong and holds the knives in place if you place them correctly with the bolsters of the knives sitting flush with the top of the magnetic panel, otherwise the knives will slant like in one of the pictures due to weight shift.The knives come sharp out of the box and the handle design is comfortable to hold with the DOT holes in the handle to help with grip. I can’t see anything negative with this knife set after trying them out for a couple of days. I do use a steak knife more often than the serrated(utility) knife so I put a steak knife on the magnet for easier access and the serrated in the back slot. The only thing that might be a problem to some kitchen is the lack of head space where the cupboards will be above the knife block and that can prevent access to the steak knives, steel rod sharpener, and shears.This quality knife set will be a joy to use for many years to come. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a set or a gift.

Great so far
These knives are great so far, as long as you follow the care instructions they should last a long time. Several reviews have complaints about rusting, well those people didnât follow the care instructions. These knives appear to be made from silver steel like a straight razor and will rust if you leave them in water. The instructions are to wash immediately after use with a wash cloth not a sponge or scouring pad then fully dry with a towel. If you do that then it will be impossible for rust to set in. Other complaints and Iâm not sure why itâs such a big deal is the branding washes off, well it is just ink, itâs not etched in and scrubbing of the logo will in time rub off. Wash lightly and the logo should last a good while. Personally I donât care, these are no name brand knives so the logo isnât important. The logo doesnât affect the usefulness of the knives.Speaking of usefulness, these knives are really sharp. I actually shaved the hair off my arm easily with the steak knives testing the blade. The larger knives cut nice and evenly with little effort. Cutting a tomato each slice was perfectly straight, lots of knives cut a tapered slice.As for the block, the block is made from beechwood which isnât a super hard wood and is probably why the magnet works. The block is glued together with (I believe) only 2 screws in the bottom. When moving the block around, grab it by the base, not the sides and it should never come apart. If it ever does come apart Iâll just reglue it and maybe put a couple more screws in it no biggie.As for now, Iâm thrilled with the knives. Even your top brands like Hinckels are not without issue, so these are a really good buy.

It looks really good and it’s very sharp. The only disappointment is the wrong description – it says that it’s dishwasher safe but in manual I’ve read hand wash only…

Compact Knife Set for an Apartment
Great knife set for those looking for a more expansive set. Could use a cleaver, but the sharpener and shears outweigh this need greatly. The knives stick to the wood block w/ magnets and allows for easy, compact storage. Great buy and can be arranged so that the knives don’t appear threatening to visitors 🙂

Somthing to note. Its hard to see in the pictures the steak knives have straght edges and don’t have a magnet placement. They go inside the top of the blockVery nice presentation the knives look nice on the counterThe handles are very small. If you have bigger hand’s you will need to be careful not to touch the blades. Its very close when you go to grab oneIt would be nice if it came with a paring knife but overall a good set
