I like the fact that it is sturdy and wonât chip like the one I had. I havenât used it yet but the feel and weight seems to me it will be a perfect addition to my kitchen gadgets! My old garlic press broke and i bought this as a replacement. The quality of this is good, and the build looks strong. Its easy to clean as it is stainless steel, it doesnot hold the smell for long time. I am in love with the garlic peeler that came along.

DANGEROUS JUNK â NOT FOOD SAFE – RETURNED â VERY DISAPPOINTEDI am very disappointed in this dangerous junk Garlic Press. Upon inspection I immediately returned it. The dangerous problem is that there are sharp metal burrs inside the chamber where the garlic cloves are placed. These sharp metal burrs will sooner than later break off and mix with the pressed garlic. The sharp metal burrs will cut your insides and cause peritonitis which is in infection inside your abdominal cavity cause by pathogenic bacteria that otherwise stay safely inside your guts. Peritonitis infection leads to full body septicemia and death.It is common in metal fabrication that dangerous sharp metal burrs are created. However, one person along the assembly line has the job of insuring that these dangerous sharp metal burrs are removed by grinding, sanding, or polishing, and etc.. Then someone else along the assembly line has the job of inspecting the critically important work of the first person to ensure that the dangerous sharp burrs have been removed. Apparently the manufacturer has no shame and insufficient Quality Control inspection standards.
