Doesn’t work on all cans or all the time
I gave this a try after hand surgery. It works pretty well, but I sometimes have to do it a couple of times, as it goes around the first time, like it is cutting the can open, but doesn’t. And for some reason, it doesn’t like to work on Del Monte cans as much as other brands. Perhaps their rims are a bit thicker, but it usually opens the can on the 2nd or 3rd try. If there is any sort of ding or bend on the can rim, it might stop, but that is to be expected. All in all, I am satisfied. It was a good option since I can’t use my right hand for several weeks.

DO NOT BUY this can opener!!!!! I purchased many items because I was moving and needed a compact can opener, I do not have very much space in my kitchen. After I received it, I put it away in a box until when it was to be moved into my new place. I took it out the other day to use it and it does not work. I asked my son in law to help me because I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. He could not get it to work either. He tried shutting it off and it would not turn off. We had to leave it and when we returned 20 minutes later it was still going, however it does not open cans. Unfortunately, the return window closed in October. Now I am without a battery operated can opener and have this one that is worthless. I now have to find a battery powered can opener that will actually work. It is pretty, but that’s about it.
