Super easy to drain & reuse oil
I make lots of crispy chicken wings in my turkey fryer almost every week. The pot that came with my setup did not have a drain spout and reusing the oil was a huge pain. I would pour the cooled oil into a large strainer funnel, but the food chunks would quickly clog the strainer screen and the oil wouldnât go through. The only solution was to take a spoon or knife to gently scrape the screen to allow the oil to drain. Then resume pouring again and start the whole process over. Upgrading to this pot with a drain was a huge time saver. I allow the oil to cool then set the pot on a folding table outside. I put my oil container on the ground, put my large funnel with strainer screen in between the 2 and open the drain valve. Once itâs done draining, I generally tip a little more oil out of the pot but stop pouring once it gets to that chunky sludge oil at the bottom. I rinse out the big stuff and excess oil first, then stick the pot and funnel in the dishwasher for a clean wash. I do not use heat to dry the pot. I used it on my original pot and it discolored the metal. Just let it air dry after itâs clean. If you plan to reuse any of your oil, this pot is a MUST!! Iâve already used this pot close to 40 times and it has not developed any spout leaks or issues. Highly recommended.
The strainer came with a little dent but still functioning. Great for straining large particles out of the oil but will still leave the small stuff in the oil so you would still need to buy a finer filter. –
Best pot ever!
Wish I would have had a spigot on a pot a long time ago, just cook my Thanksgiving bird in the pot and it was so easy to drain the oil out. If you are tired of having drained oil on you or needing 2 people to drain the oil and strain it into a jug this pot is for you. Open the valve and it drains into my filter and jug.

Nice and sturdy pot but remove the valve cap before lighting your burner.
I bought this to replace my turkey frier that I’ve used for 40 years and frankly worn out. This one caught my attention because it was stainless and came with a spout that makes it easier to drain the oil back into the container once it cooled off. The spout comes with a metal cap on the end. That metal cap must be very soft metal because it melted and turned into liquid and dripped onto my concrete within minutes of the first use. No big deal, as soon as it dried, it was easy to pick up but be sure the valve is in the “closed” position before you pour anything into this pot because the cap on the drain will be gone on your first cook.

This is an absolute piece of Chinese made junk
This is an absolute piece of Chinese made junk. All I wanted was a quality pot that would last for years and this pot is literally slightly heavier than the throw away stuff you can buy at the local grocery store. I called the company and spoke to the owner in Louisiana and he explained to me that folks today wonât pay for quality so this is the result. If we continue to support the cheaply made products Amazon markets and this is what we are left with. Itâs sad really. Iâll return and try to find a local brick and mortar distributor I can support for a decent pot.

Great Value
Purchased for Thanksgiving Turkey cooking. Is medium thickness metal. Also using for heating water on 200,000 btu outdoor propane cooker for camping. It is working great. The Handles are sturdy and fits needs. The metal is not the thickness of a Stock Pot or heavy duty pot. It is way thicker than tamale steaming pots around my area in AZ. I would recommend for Cooking Turkey and also for making hot water of soup.

Bought as a present for my dad to replace his old one. He loves it. Says just what he needed. He was glad we could buy it separately instead of full set up.

I ordered this pot for my Dads cottage, it was used for water and the bottom split after a few uses. Unfortunately it was out if of the return window when it happened. The spigot also leaked when we bought it but it was easy to fix ourselves.
