Great Design
I just received this item a few minutes ago, so I am just giving a first impression. There are some products – especially these metal doodads – that just make an impression right away. This seems ‘right’. The proportions are good, the finish is good, the weight and balance. It’s just one of those things that seems pleasing, and seems well-designed.The spoon appears to be the same size and proportion as a teaspoon from an ordinary place setting. It’s a normal size, normal shape, and normal depth. The fork seems pretty good too; the tines aren’t as long as a fork on your dinner table, but they are longer than on any spork I’ve seen. Because the valleys between the tines are of different drpths to match the curve of the carabiner opening, they aren’t all the same length. But it looks like the longest is about 7/8″ and the shortest is about 5/8″, so the fork should be adequate to get a grip on your food.I have 2 observations of what I would consider compromises, which are slightly negative, but I think if they tried any alternatives it would end up causing bigger problems elsewhere: 1) the carabiner is in the middle, which is kind of weird. But if they put it at either end, they would have to make the eating end be a spork, which would be worse. 2) When eating with the fork, it would feel more comfortable if the spoon were flipped over so your thumb was in the concave side and your fingers could wrap around the curve on the bottom of the spoon; but if they did that, then from the side the thing would be one big U-shaped curve from the tip of the fork to the tip of the spoon instead of a nice S-shape, which I think would be a terrible design. So all in all, This won’t be as well suited to your dining room as a real fork and spoon, but away from home I think it will do the trick, it feels well made and is satisfying to hold.

Very nice
I got this to bring to an 8 week camping trip, lasted me the whole way and I still use it now, very sturdy and easy to clean off afterwards, except for the carabiner part, it can be kind of difficult to clean under and around the springPros:LightLimitless usesNo plate of food will be an issue anymoreNo bottle will be left unopenedCarabiner is helpful because I donât have to hold it all the timeCons: I got the longer version thinking I would need the length, I didnât, the smaller version works fine (thatâs a valuable lesson ladies)That and the carabiner cleaning were really the only bad things, which are both negatable at bestKinda hard to mess up a utensil so good on them

Handy, small enough to easily be carried or stored
Very sturdy, nice & handy overall size and the bowl of the spoon is deeper than others and of generous capacity.

Great for jobsite lunch
Iâd always find myself on the job with leftovers and having forgotten utensils. Lasagna and spaghetti proved embarrassing when attempting to eat by hand. This little doodad attaches to my daypack and cleans super easily. Problem solved! Only gripe is itâs a little short so donât plan on twirling pasta around it.

Perfect Size
The Ration XL is the perfect size for eating with. The spoon has a good shape as well. Can be used to eat soup with as it’s not too flat or too small. It fits great in the hand and has no sharp edges.Very well made. It’s a little heavier than I expected, but I suppose I was thinking more like aluminum type light-weight before purchasing it. It’s not that. It’s fairly thick and more robust. It’s overall length is about the same as a standard spoon or fork. The bottle cap opener works fine. The wire gate functions well.No complaints about this product whatsoever. ð

Love these – carry one in my EDC!
I love these – I actually own and use two. I have two different bags I use to carry my every day carry / essentials and thereâs one of these in both of them.Easy to clean, works well, and ALWAYS love pulling one out of my bag and opening a bottle, cutting up some food or just eating a meal. reduces my use of single use plastic!
