So sharp they cut just watching them
Iâm not a cooking person, but every time my mother in law cooked at my house she complained about my set of knives from Ikea. Now since I bought this set for her she is happy and says they are so sharp that they can cut just for watching them. Pretty complete set and the value looks good from what Iâve seen online. Attractive, Sharp and Durable Knife Set
Very nice 15-Piece Stainless Steel Knife Set by Imarku. The knives are sharp, the handle feels comfortable in your hand when using a knife and the set also comes with a pair of scissors and an attached knife sharpener. I use the slicing, utility and pairing knives all the time. They are sharp and slice with precision â I easily cut vegetables, fruit and meat with them. The description says they are dishwasher safe but I never put quality knives through the dishwasher.The one thing I donât really like is the serration on the steak knives. All of the knives have sharp blades so the serration on the steak knives is not necessary. The serration is like a saw, it will cut into the surface of any cutting board itâs used on. I have used a steak knife on the surface of a wood and a plastic cutting board and the knife cut into both â ruining the surface of both cutting boards. I no longer use the steak knives on anything but a china plate.

These knives are good, they come with a good edge and cut well. I recommend them to you. They come with 15 pieces and are made of good stainless steel material. They also have a stone in the corner to sharpen the knife. I am delighted with my knives ððð

Gotta say, I spent time as a Wustof snob. Hey, the knives are a pretty important part of cooking, right?This all said, I’ve been more and more impressed with Imarku over the past year. Their cookware sets (pans, pots, etc) are easily the equal of pricier “known” brands. Never once while using their stuff have I thought “Geez, this is paltry.”It’s with that attitude that I approached this knife set. First thing isn’t really all that important, which are the looks. I mean, give me a well performing knife that looks ugly over a pretty one that can’t cut a turnip. But hey, these look really, really nice.The thing I was a bit concerned about though was how the handles worked. Knife safety is a pretty Big Deal(tm) and the handle is the first part of that equation. I’ve used stainless handles before and frankly didn’t like them. Here the execution is much more on point. They have that rather cool stainless look, but I appreciate the non-slip dot things/whatever that helped me maintain a positive grip. I never felt as though I wasn’t in control of the knife.The assortment given is what I call an 80/20 solution. There are enough knives here to handle all general tasks and frankly a good improv-type tool for some unusual tasks. You aren’t likely to bone a fish with these, but there wasn’t anything in my general cooking that I wasn’t equipped to handle with this set.Now the blades. Yes, they are quality. I found that provided I do my part (specifically avoid stupid cutting boards made of glass….) the knives hold an edge very well. In this I have to through some shade on the knife “sharpener” in the base. It is good enough to hone the blade, but it will NOT take the place of a professional knife sharpener. Be aware.In the end though, it’s a good looking knife set that performs as well as it looks. No issues whatsoever with any of these items. Pricewise…it’s extremely difficult to justify paying much more for a known brand when these are on the table. Excellent product.

I got 13 knives, 1 scissor and a sharpening tool . The set comes with an 8-inch chef’s knife, a 7-inch Santoku knife, an 8-inch slicing knife, an 8-inch bread knife, a 6-inch boning knife, a 5-inch utility knife, a 3.5-inch paring knife, a pair of scissors, and a wooden knife block with a built-in sharpener. Each knife has an ergonomic handle.I measured the knives to confirm their sizes, and they matched the listed dimensions. The set is dishwasher safe, and I have washed a couple of the knives several times in the dishwasher without any issues.The knife block includes a built-in sharpener, but I do not have experience using this type of sharpener. I use an electric sharpener and find it to be a safer and more effective way for sharpening my knives, as I am not familiar with manual sharpening techniques. The block is made of hard wood.All the knives are indeed very sharp and I also noticed that the scissors included in the set cut very cleanly.

I am very pleased with this knife set. This 15-piece knives set for kitchen includes an 8″ chef’s knife, 7″ Santoku knife, 8″ slicing knife, 8″ bread knife, 6″ boning knife, 5″ utility knife, 3.5″ paring knife, a pair of scissors, 6 serrated steak knives, and a wooden knife block with a built-in sharpener This is an amazing deal at $100. Since the handles are not plastic it prolongs the lifespan of the knives as well as making them DISHWASHER SAFE . They are just as beautiful to look at as they are to use. In my opinion the white block looks more elegant.
