The hardest part is detaching the clear chute from the base. It takes some strength sometimes to separate them for cleaning. It also took me a minute to figure out the handle has to be attached and then turned slightly so it locks on to the back of the unit. As for performance, it makes quick work of a variety of veggies. Works well for grating cheese too. The slicing feature makes extremely thin slices. Thinner than I’d prefer for cucumbers at least. It might be perfect to make scallop potatoes however. It all depends on your needs. All in all, I really like it.
