Simple to use, perfect size for 2 people
After months of reading reviews and having a hard time making up my mind, I bought the Hamilton Beech 4 qt slow cooker a few weeks ago. Well, low and behold, this mediocre “cook” turned into a decent cook. I’ve done mostly soups and stews but I also did a wonderful pork tenderloin and got rave reviews from my very picky husband on all dishes served. This is perfect size for 2, easy to use, the automatic drop to warm is perfect to prevent overcooking or burning, the temperature seems to be spot on for low and high and it really is a set and forget it appliance. Price was great to. Because I’m lazy I use liners for no clean up time but I did make black bean soup without the liner and did not wash it till the next morning and it cleaned up just fine. Recommend it despite the negative reviews I read.

I am delighted that i purchased this from Amazon âResaleâ. Someone must have returned it because of it getting damaged during shipping the package was really bad. There was a dent on the exterior shell on the back of the item. Not really significant damage. Nothing that would make it not useable. Other than that. It works perfectly.This crock-pot is a nice size. Probably too big for myself and my child. But there are times I like to make âa lotâ of stuff then have leftovers that I can freeze and reheat for easy meals. I LOVE that it has a timer on it, so that even if I forget to set a timer for 8 hours or forget to look at a clock when I start cooking this keeps track of the time for you. When the timer is done, it moves right to âkeep warmâ. The lid fits perfect. No wobbling, no gaps. I couldnât ask for a better crockpot, for under $30. What a great & lucky find.Donât forget to check out Amazon resale before you buy your next âgotta haveâ thing. If youâre looking for perfection, sure buy new. If youâre looking to save a significant amount of money and are okay with something having minimal, superficial damage check it out.

This arrived nicely packaged within an extra box that fit perfectly around the Hamilton Beach box. It was a tight fit and kept everything in place during shipment, and arrived perfectly out of the box. I could only note that I made a mess when I pulled the slow cooker out of the box, with all the Styrofoam beads that came out statically charged with it flying around. Anyhow, i’m in the middle of using this currently and so far so good. The food smells great and it is clearly doing its job cooking.The pros:Among a small list of things I love about this slow cooker, I feel l just have to mention, it is a very decently, fairly large sized slow cooker. When I was in the store, after i’d ordered this one, I went poking around looking at the various ones they had available in-store and I could only find ones that were smaller with a digital/timer feature, or ones that were 1 QT less that did not have that feature. (Nothing of the same size with that particular feature that was anything remotely close to this in price.)This feature (the digital timer feature) is important for me, personally, because as I have to cook two separate meals- one for me, with my particular diet restrictions, and one for the rest of my family without the restrictions- this is great; I can just throw in my ingredients, set the timer, go to work, come home, and find that it’s been fully cooked and ready for me to package up for my meals. Then I don’t have to spend twice as long or split my attention between two separate meals cooking at the same time. No effort involved. I’ve never had a digital/timer feature on a crock pot or slow cooker previously, so this is quite a lovely feature. I don’t have to trust that someone else will turn it off when it’s ready.As is regular with most slow cookers or crock pots now, another good feature I enjoy is the inner ceramic bowl comes out and is easily washable or maintainable. It is a sturdy piece and I found it very easy to clean.The cons:I only really have one thing to mention, and I don’t even feel entirely strongly about it being an issue. The length of the cable or cord that it comes with is lacking. I have to plug this in in an awkward place in my kitchen, rather than where I was planning on putting it, due to the length of the cord. I am not entirely upset nor surprised, however, because my old one was the same way, so I think that is just standard for crock pots or slow cookers.Overall, I really thought and feel this was a great purchase for the price and it is a high quality slow cooker from a brand that I know to be worth purchasing from for other kitchen utensils or equipment. I see some of the other reviews also state that their customer service team is very easy to work with and willing to help- I have not ever used their customer service yet however if I notice any issues I am looking forward to a good experience dealing with Hamilton Beach. I am hoping this lasts at least as long as my last slow cooker did, and looking forward to many years of great, yummy, and easily cooked meals!

I generally donât write reviews but decided to write one, hoping itâll help someone. I owned a Cuisinart 3.5 qt since 2017 and loved it. Then it started shutting down after a few hours by itself and I didnât want to take any chances with an electric appliance so I discarded it into recycling. Got the Toastmaster (it looked snazzy and had a lid seal and all). Well it looked pretty but didnât cook my lentils even after 8 hours (my old cuisinart needed only 4-6 hours total on high plus low. Ok, so the Toastmaster was a bust and went back and I got the same model I previously had of the Cuisinart 3.5 Qt. Its black ceramic insert felt lighter than the one I had before but I was hopeful. This brand has/ had a good reputation always and I have other of their appliances too. Same fail- it didnât cook the lentils even after all the hours. I was very disappointed. I wish I hadnât thrown my old cuisinart. So I did some more research and asked chat gpt and checked everywhere besides Amazon. Finally I decided to give the old but true brand Hamilton Beach, 4 Qt a try. Viola! It works, it works, it works. The wet same lentils that didnât cook in the Toastmaster or in the Cuisinart – now cooked in 3-4 hours in the Hamilton Beach. Its pot is heavy enough and it lets me pick the number of hours etc. Iâm so happy because a slow cooker is a constant appliance used in my home. Hope this helps someone.

Used this right away and had no issues. Item arrived quickly and cooks things perfectly. You can set the time in two-hour increments up to 10 hours, and then switched to warm once the desired cook time is reached. The handle on the lid became loose, but I just had to tighten it and had no further issues. Definitely recommend, at this price point you can’t go wrong!

la compré porque tengo una de la misma marca pero mas chica. Y está la usé para hacer un caldo de huesos, la programé en LOW por 8 horas y salió todo muy bien, el tamaño es genial para comidas de 3-4 personas, fácil de lavar y limpiar, manejo de opciones con botones fáciles de identificar. Solo cuidado al lavar el contenedor de cerámica porque si se quiebra es dificil encontrar repuesto, me pasó con el modelo de tamaño mas chico.

Maybe a bit larger than we needed, as we seldom fill it, but this crock pot has been a treasure in our house since we got it. It’s easy to use and clean and it even keeps your dinner warm if you’re still getting home from somewhere. Once the cycle you set has completed (for example, 4 hours on HIGH), it automatically switches to “warm” so your dinner is neither stone cold nor burned. 10/10 would recommend!

Didn’t know how much I would love this appliance until I started using it. Makes the most delicious meals with the least amount of effort. A little cumbersome to wash because it is so big but not a deal breaker by any means.
