Great kettle!!
Very reliable, multiple heat settings is a great touch. Chimes upon completion. Boils fast. Very satisfied.Only minor complaints are could be a bit bigger and my hard water is turning the bottom green.

Affordable and easy to use
This is the second one of these I’ve had. After several years, the flip-up-the-lid mechanism stopped working unless I held the kettle upside down. But it still heated water fine, and I gave it to a friend.So I didn’t hesitate to buy this kettle again, especially given what it costs vs fancier brands.It’s great to rapidly heat water for cooking pasta or steaming vegetables.I like the choice of options to heat water for coffee and tea to various temperatures; I use the second-hottest one to make my instant espresso in the morning. And the blue light is cheerful 🙂

Broke after 8 months (5/23-1/24)
This kettle was fine while it worked, although it’s annoying to maneuver around the lid when filling because it doesn’t open very far and doesn’t stay open easily by itself.However, it has recently started leaking into the plastic base below the glass portion, so a lot of water collects in there and spills everywhere when you’re trying to pour it. That’s where the electrical part and heating element are, so I doubt it’s safe to use now.Also, for a few months when it was new, strings of plastic would come off from around the temperature probe at the bottom of the inside portion if you allowed water to sit in the kettle for a few hours, as others have reported (with pictures).I’m not sure it’s worth making a warranty claim because I’d have to pay for shipping both ways. Overall, a disappointment.

Easy for older kids to use
My daughters (9&11) love making tea and I wanted them to be more independent without having to use the stove. Itâs easy for them to fill, set the temperature, and serve. I love that they can set the âkeep warmâ function and I can pour a cup when I want some as well. I wish it heated a little quicker; I wouldnât say itâs any faster than the stove. I also noticed that one of the buttons is already seeing wear, and itâs only 2 weeks old (see picture). Itâs good quality and I like the bright light when the water is boiling.

hot and heats up quickly
ordered this product mainly because of its different heating levels and that the vessel is made of glass. we can choose what heat level we want. i use lower heat when i want to put my water in a thermos and higher heat when making green tea or coffee.

Great kettle
The different temperature settings are very helpful and (seemingly) accurate and consistent. Boils fast enough, and looks cool with the soft blue light and glass kettle. My kids get entranced watching it boil, so….it’s multi-purpose! 🙂

Good, but starts leaking soon
Very good product and I enjoyed it so much, but suddenly, just over a year of use – it started leaking. I believe this is malfunction of product because I took great care of it. It literally leaks out full kettle within an hour. . . Asked Hamilton Beach customer support, their reply âSorry, it was purchased over a year ago, we canât help you with anything nowâ Oh well, $50 goes by by , have to buy another one now.

Great product and great customer service from Hamilton Beach
I purchased this product almost a year ago and have used it daily since then. It worked great until recently when it stopped heating water. As it was still under warranty, Hamilton Beach is replacing the unit free of charge. The reality is that some products will fail no matter how well they are designed and made. The customer service from Hamilton Beach is exceptional.

Al segundo dÃa de uso me percaté que estaba derramando agua de la base de la cafetera, lo cual es pésimo, pero además peligroso si hace contacto con el cable o algo más en tu cocina con corriente eléctrica. Cuando usé la función de âboilâ nunca se apagó en automático, lo cual también es peligroso! Y para terminar, el botón de âOpenâ se botó y salió volando en estos dos dÃas de uso. Pésima calidad en este modelo!Es una lástima ya que anteriormente tuve otro modelo más económico que esté, de la misma marca y nunca tuve problemas hasta como 3 años después de comprarlo, que dejó de funcionar repentinamente.Conclusión: No compren este modelo de tetera!
