This is a replacement for the one I used daily for over five years. itâs a solid build, the cordless base functions well, and it will bring Indiana dead-of-winter tap water to a raging boil in under three minutes, and I mean raging! Very highly recommended!

This review is written in appreciation of a reliable appliance.This morning I made a mistake of turning on this kettle, which I thought had been filled the night before — only to find out, when I turned my attention to it again sometime later, that the pot was actually completely dry. Had the kettle been poorly designed, it could easily have caused some serious electrical damage. Thankfully, the kettle had turned itself off.The pot was hot to the touch. I filled it with water and attempted to turn it on again. And, as I feared: it would not turn back on. I examined the base, which felt very hot and looked slightly cinched. I cursed myself for ruining a perfectly good appliance and resigned to getting a replacement.Half and hour later, I gave it another try, and — much to my delighted surprise — the kettle came back to life!I can’t say enough about this hotel-grade kettle. Having gone through several failed mini-kettles before purchasing this one (relatively pricey at the time), it has worked reliably for me over the years (with the only maintenance of rinsing it with white vinegar every night).This morning’s incident proves that it is safe from accidental overheating, as befitting the label of “Commercial Hospitality” in its description.I decided to see if I may be able to acquire another unit as a backup. I looked up my previous purchase: it was back in 2022, at a price of nearly $50! This morning, the price is listed at only $30.I sincerely hope that this well-designed model is not being closed out by Hamilton Beach. In any case, I am thankful that I now have a spare unit on hand and I hope to be able to rely on these kettles for my tea drinking for years to come.

Silicone-like particles appear on the bottom
Boiled filtered water two times just to test the kettle. Seemed working well, boiled water in about 3 minutes. While wiping down the dropplets to put kettle in the luggage, I noticed multiple silicone-like particles on the bottom. Nothing in the manual about the issue.

Love this little kettle!
I love this little kettle. It’s sturdy and well made, sleek in appearance, easy to hold and pour. It boils water very fast and always shuts off once the water starts boiling. (Unlike some other reviewers, I have had no failures of the automatic shut-off.) It’s perfect for boiling water for a cup of tea, or to fill my 16 oz. thermos with hot water. I like that it is all stainless steel inside — the lid is plastic, but does not come in contact with the hot water. After every use I empty it completely and leave the lid open so it can dry out. I have had no problems with discoloration or rusting. I have used it 4-5 times a day for the last month and have had no problems. So although it is a little more expensive than other models of this size, I am glad I spent the money. Couldn’t be happier!

Broke down after 2 months usage and blew the fuse in the kitchen.
