I’ve purchased many knife sharpeners over the years, but this one truly works. It’s very user-friendly and effectively sharpened my chef knives, which were in poor condition. I’m so impressed that I’m now looking for anything else I can sharpen!

First off I like to sharpen knives as a zen or as a meditation. Just scraping a blade back and forth over a whetstone can be calming. This product does not give me the zen that I am looking for, although it does make it easy to sharpen knives in a hurry.The knife sharpening box that it comes in, I feel, is giftable. I would not have an issue with giving this as a gift. It also came with a nice case for me to keep all the gear together. This is handy when I want to sharpen a knife quickly. The one negative that I found is that the directions can be difficult to understand and it does not explain everything that comes in the box. For example, the case has a leather strop and a wax green cube. Luckily I have experience with sharpening knives and I know what to do with these items. Once I started sharpening my knives I found that it was fun to just roll it back and forth without having to watch my angle. When I was “done” sharpening my knives, I found that they were sharp. Not sharp enough to shave my arm, but sharp enough for me to get into boxes and cut boxes up. Overall I found that this product sharpens knives, but takes the “work” out of sharpening knives.

A purely manual labour for sharpening implements. But, if you are like me, and like a quality finish through a good effort, this product is great.The only thing I cannot figure out, is the use for the wax.Having said that, I recommend this one for those afficionados liking to do the work for themselves.

Really Nice Sharpener
I really like this sharpener. It took a little while to figure it out but it puts a great edge on a blade. It includes everything you need including cut resistance gloves. The instructions are basic but effective. It’s very solid and seems well made including bearings in the roller.

I got this because my husband wanted to try it to sharpen our knives. It ruined three knives that I had. Didn’t get any of them sharp. Save your money and don’t get this product.
