Well made and easy to use
Beautifully made (as are all of the GreenPan items). I just recently purchased a set of pots and pans and wanted to replace some metal spatulas since they can scratch the coating. I decided to go with the tongs and one of their spatulas as it matches and I liked the âlockâ to close them up so that they are easier to store.

Slippery grip
Washed these using the dish washer 2 times before first use and these seem very heat resistant. We purchased this in taupe color, it looks exactly as pictured. The size pan that is in used for visual context is the hex clad 14 inch, it fits perfect in there. The size of these tongs are great for normal use, and cooking. The rubber / silicone material used for this is very good for hand gripping but not food gripping. As you see in the video, once youâre handling more oily food, it will slip very easily which is normal, however given the width of these tongs at the end, the design of it make it very hard to grip onto smaller and oily pieces. The tongs are actually very sturdy although itâs created as a thinner than normal tong, my thumb didnât feel as tired after using this, I am actually surprised that under the silicone is steel, these tongs are very light compared to traditional tongs.Overall, I will definitely buy products from this branding, although the hefty price tag, this is great for non stick pans to avoid scraping and exposing teflone surfaces. These look very modern and refreshing.

Flimsy and difficult to open
The hook which locks the tongs is difficult to unlock. The plastic is so lightweight it is difficult to pick up heavy pieces of meat.

Quality is good and color is modern. Clever closing mechanism, hopefully it doesn’t break with use. They are slightly overpriced so I removed one star. Bought them to replace my favorite cooking tongs which I had to throw away as the were made of black plastic.

Great serving tongs for your green pans
I got these tongs and the color taupe to match my top green pan set and was a bit disappointed to see that the utensil is a dark taupe whereas the pans are more creamy in color.Despite the tongs not matching my pants set I really do like them. They seem really well constructed, they have a good weight and a decent flex to them. They have a silicone coating which will protect my green pan set, and uses tension for the hinging mechanism, but I worry that the exposed hardware on the clip in the middle will rust over time.The clip on the tongs is a neat feature where you have to physically clip to keep the tongs closed which is perfect so they don’t spring open inside your drawer, but the clip releases perfectly if you just squeeze the tongs.Overall they’re a great size and length to keep your hand out of the hot heat while working over your pan, while still being easy to squeeze and maneuver.Although these tongs have a hefty price tag I do think that they’re worth it and I’m happy to have them in my kitchen.
